Okay just how do you mod the torpedo so it looks like a missle. moreover how does the tga work. I'm completely clueless!!!!:eek:
i believe it has to do with the torpedos core.
You can edit an tga with a picture editor, like Paint Shop Pro. If you look at bcfiles you will see a tutorial in the left side corner.

Yea but I checked the tutorial for torps and it still doesn't explain the whole use of the tga and what it should look like. it just has refrances to the scripting. (and that is also slowly moving through my head)
Your saying that you are trying to make a missile, so not a torpedo. You would need to set the rotation to 0, the flare lengt to 0 and the texture of the back of a missile.
but what if one were to look from the side. wouldn't it look like the back of the missile.
Simple answer, don't use a texture, just change the colors for the exhaust core, and the 'umbra' outside it. I've created an effective missile effect doing it this way.
I'll post the torp script when I get home from work.
