Hi all,

If I have asked this question before, please accept my apologies. I have just heavily upgraded the Stock Sovereign. All weapons work to my liking, except the torpedo launching system. The list below shows what I am trying to achieve:

Torpedo Spread (Forward) Torpedo Tubes Fired

Single 1 forward torpedo tube only fires. Dual 2 forward torpedo tubes fire at once. Quad 4 forward torpedo tubes fire at once. Full All 8 forward torpedo tubes fire at once.

I have tried numerous different settings, but none provide the desired result. I have spoken to mldaalder, who has kindly agreed to look into the problem for me. Unfortunately, he hasn't managed to sort out the problem yet. He suggested that Elminster might be able to help, as he is more into HP than scripting. Any other suggestions, though would be greatly appreciated.

ok this is easy

first all the torps you have should listed by ID. from 0 to 7+ (don't forget the aft ones) i will explain this later

afterwards you need to make your firing sequence for this example i will make it that you have 10 torps 8 fwd 2 aft in the torpedoes are you need to put it in like this you can cut and paste this:

0;Single;12;Dual;34;Quad;5;Full

now for each torp tube you have to pair them up to a number, generally if you are using duals afts become duals set to the group 5, but becuase you have more than 6 torps you need to set them in a special way.

fwd torps 1&2 should be group 1,4,5 fwd torps 3&4 should be group 2,4,5 fwd torps 5,6,7,8 should be group 3,5 aft torps 1&2 should be group 1,2,3,4,5 (you want to make sure they always fire in the groups)

please note that firing them in this way will not allow you fire the tubes 5-8 until quad is selected. There is not enough groups to make your effect happen because the game will only allow 5 groups so you will havedo it this way.

weapon ID's:

this is where you can select what tube (single or multiple torps in a group) get fired in sequence. Always start with 0 for your first torpedo. and if you end with torp 15 (aft, fwd , etc) it should be id 14.

this will allow you to really get some good sequences. this becomes especially usefully when you have a huge number of fwd or aft torps like the akira.

Thanks for the info Darkshimmer, but I have noticed in your details, that you have only given details for 2 aft torpedoes, whereas my Sovereign has 8 aft torpedoes. I have attached a txt copy of my Sovereign.py file. Could you modify the file accordingly, taking into account my Sovereign's 8 aft torpedoes

Thanks for the prompt reply, Darkshimmer, its greated appreciated. I would appreciate if you could modify my Sovereign.py file yourself, providing you don't mind and can spare the time. Please note however, that my updated Sovereign has 8 aft torpedo tubes, whereas in your note, you only gave details for two. I have attached a txt copy of my Sovereign.py for modification.

instead of just having the 8 aft torps in group 12345, simply put them in the same groups as you would the forward ones

aft torps 1&2 should be group 1,4,5 aft torps 3&4 should be group 2,4,5 aft torps 5,6,7,8 should be group 3,5
