Don't forget to do a channel scan right after the rollover takes place. I also thought we could share what new channels if any people are getting and/or what ones you can't get in anymore.
I noticed the TitanTV Beta website is already showing only digital channels. I am a bit worried I'll lose lots of channels because I live in the city with lots of buildings causing interference with our reception.
Word is our apt building is getting satellite though, which will be great, because cable service in our area is exclusive to one very inadequate and price gouging provider. :D
46 and 2, are just ahead of me

My TV is out at the moment, all my channels have switched to digital so I need to get the converter box thing. I have the coupon and everything, so it is just a matter of going out and getting one. No biggie, I've known about the switch and just was being lazy, heh.
Ive got digi cable that operates thru phone lines...or something really high tech and bad ass (AT&T uverse...if anyone knows how the hell I get full TV thru just the phone line please tell me)
Hahaha, Suckers, Us Canadians dont need that, we dont switch over till next year, and the Canadian Providers Auto Convert the Digital Signals for now.
Crackheads and Mexicans are going to being doing the WTF!? when they turn on the tube…guess they didn’t get the message here. Most dopes, like myself have cable or satellite – who the fuck uses bunny ears anyway…get with the program, welcome to the 21st century.

Share my experience? I have none to share. I turned on the tube this morning, and all the channels I always watch were exactly as they used to be. My family has had cable since 1990. :)
Did any part of the thread title suggest this topic is for non OTA viewers chiming in with OT ramblings? I don't think so. What part of the HD rollover doesn't affect those on cable, satellite and DSL do you not get?
I get one related repsonse, and even with the added 4 months Obama insisted on, he STILL hasn't prepared. Whatever dudes. Anyways, I guess I'll have to show you all how to respond by being the first to add relevant content.
After a channel scan, it appears I lost ABC. In fact I lost ABC and it's local affiliate (4.1 and 4.2 in my area), despite getting both fine before the rollover. What's even more strange is the fact that DTV 4-0 shows when I press 4 on the remote now instead of DTV 4-1.
Everything else is fine, in fact better than I anticipated. I thought I would lose at least two or 3 channels that I could not get in before in digital. I can now watch the local pro football team's games in HD all season long. If it turns out I can't get ABC though, it will be a major loss.
Guess I just don't watch enough TV to care...just as long as I can find Robot Chicken or Family Guy, I'm cool.
Well I've never been much of a TVaholic either, but now I get Universal Sports and Fox HD, both of which have athletic stuff that actually interests me, like the SAAB 2008 Avalanche Trophy marathon downhill mt. bike race. Universal Sports is merely a rebroadcast done in SD vs HD, but the coverage is great. They show two hrs per stage in big races like the Giro d'talia and Tour de France. The most you'd get with CBS was a 1 hr recap per week, and they spent much of that time with background stories, whoop de do. One of the local channels also covers some pretty major sports stuff, like the Stanley Cup finals, which looked very clear in HD.
