I am trying to edit the Sovereign Class Enterprise weapons, whilst leaving the Sovereign's weapons alone and I'm having no luck, despite editing the 'Enterprise' .py file in the Scripts/Ships/Hardpoints directory. Can anyone help?

Have you removed the .pyc files from the bridge commander directory and have you checked that your actually editing a file in which is in the Bridge Commander Directory and not the SDK directorys?

The "Enterprise.py" file uses the Sovereign.py as well. It will load up Sovereign.py, and then whatever is in Enterprise.py will overwrite what it has loaded.

To add extra weapons, you need to literally add them in the Enterprise.py file, and it will then overwrite the Sovereign defaults when Enterprise is loaded.

The easiest way to change the hardpoints on any ship is the SDK Model Property Editor.

It makes life so much easier and is essential for placement of certain items and phaser vectors etc.

Check out the SDK forum and BCFiles has a turotial on the MPE basic usage. That should get you going, play around with a hp file on a non-essential ship (making a backup first), and see what you can do.

Hmm... My SDK has a seperate enterprise.py Harpoint File.

The non-hardpoint enterprise.py is linked to it.

Maybe you could try editing the enterprise.py Hardpoints!
