From a foreign perspective, you have my support. I would myself join the Canadian Forces were it not for my general poor health (I've got a bad knee and a hip that locks up in a sprint), alcoholism and general apathy towards actually doing something with my life. In any case, good luck and god bless.

Why sign up for the armed forces, of course your going to iraq, they don't need young guys in Korea or Germany.

Sorry to hear that man. Bring a hundred dollars with you and get it exchanged for dinars. When the war eventually ends it'll go up in value with all the oil exports that country will be doing in the next 30yrs.

I have 130k dinars i bought for about 60 bucks. If i get lucky it'll hit 40cents in the next 5-10yrs. Thats a good chunk of change.

Sorry to hear that guys, but it was always around the corner eh?

Best of luck to you both, hopefully you might get internet access over there and pop in to talk for a while. Once again, look after yourselves!

It's a personal choice, these two men here have taken it upon themselves to serve their country, they knew upon enlisting what might become of them, but did it because they want to. This may not necessarily be good news, but its whats happening now I guess..

Possibly because he loves his country and wishes to defend it... If no one joined, then we probrably would get bullied... Some people just make these decisions, and sometimes forced, I think. But either way, We should support them, every minute over there is just another chance to get hurt. Or worse...
