Kapersky Internet Security
can get a little annoying with the "allow, deny" window showing up really often, but at least it doesn't block it completely without warning
AVG free edition for the WIN!!!!111one
I start using Norton anti virus software. Before this i try Avg.Now i feel AVG IS BEST.Because it is systematic.
easkum;4053733At the moment I'm using the latest Norton Antivirussoftware. It doesn't slow down my computer and it makes my pc a fortress. I recommend it! (not for beginners, the menus are pretty sofisticated sometimes :p)
Wow. You make ole Norton sound good.
The last few versions would stop working, if Internet Explorer got infected... Plus they were the slowest thing going. If you didn't have a Gig of RAM on XP, your computer was going to move slower than a snail. Worse, the detection came across as poor, since many free anti-viruses picked up ones that Norton missed, after it was removed.
I had one funny incident. Norton didn't detect a Virus, until AVG did!? Or was it Avast? I switch between them often,...
Anyway. I want to know the specs for your computer, and a few benchmarks, with, and without Norton. I also need to research the Internet Explorer problem.
I use avast, its the best free antivirus i found. It has protected my PC very well. its got a very good firewall too :)

Sovereign002;4053682Norton sucks, I think we can all agree on that. =p
I don't. I used it for most, if not all of 2006 and had no problems with it.

You and Easkum must be the only two who actually like Norton. It was way too slow for my liking, took ages to start up decently.
well it was proven multiple times, that the old norton programs indeed inflicted terrible slowmoving machines of your new pc. But the norton's are much better, but who wants to switch now?

i hate the way it is always given away with computers in places like pc world to anyone that doesnt no the first thing about computers and that this is such a great antivirus they tired to give it my parents lol
None. I'm using my Mac right now.
On my PC, i'm using AVG right now, though i really do prefer Avast. I just haven't felt like reinstalling it yet.
