Some people just want to die. I almost ran over a cyclist. The idiot was cycling on a national speed limit road at night. No street-lights, dressed in black, if he had lights on his bike they were shit enough that I didn't see them even when I was right on top of him. It was raining as well. Well done genius.

If there hadn't been another person in the car with a better angle on him to yell out a warning, there'd be one fewer cyclist in the world tonight. And it wouldn't have been my fault.

Some people shouldn't be allowed on the road. Clean hi-vis jackets, (too many people let the reflectors go dirty and then they're no use to anyone,) should be a legal requirement - and someone needs to make some regs about how bright your lights have to be.

Or we could just continue to let natural selection take its course, I suppose.

Fucking retard. Every now and then you think you've seen the depths to which human stupidity can plunge but... someone's got to go that extra mile just to prove you wrong.

Christ, there was a pavement two feet to his left - IIRC. He could have gone on that and just been an inconvenience to anyone walking the other way - rather than potentially getting someone, or multiple someones, killed. Illegal mind - but a hell of a lot safer than what he was doing.

These 'tards are fun enough on an icy and pitch-black bicycle path. Or even in late summer when the nights get darker, they come up with the most creative ways of surprise attacking you from the bushes next to the path.

There is a chance that the guy only was a drunk victim of vandalism who didn't want to walk home, I've had enough bicycle lights stolen or broken off my bike to now always carry the lights with me, but a responsible person should still have had at least his personal and bike reflectors left.
