My definition on life:

Life is about survival, and do what benefits yourself.

Now... Years(hundreds) this is how life was. Survival was a main component to one's "life". Wars? They were to benefit your country/tribe..whatever. How is a typical one's life now? Everything is materialistic... No means of survival. Lives of the people are all based on what shoes they have, or how many unnecessary features are on your cell phone.. (Yes tech junkies =P) . How do you survive in the modern age? Eat/drink? Something that is available to you 100% of the time. What's your security? Police/military.. And security against whom? A few terrorists? No MAJOR wars will ever happen since super powers depend on each other economically.

Look at it this way:

What does ANYONE'S life matter? Hm? Human extinction is inevitable. Any major achievement does not make a difference. Nothing WE humans do benefit our futures. We are ALL damaging this planet. Earth, humanity, is merely the "size" of an atom to our universe. We probably will never explore space to the fullest. Hence, endangering our survival. We are meaningless. I agree with the statement "Live life to the fullest"... Although to what extent is the "fullest"?

What is your take/description of life?

Take it as it comes, and enjoy every second. After all, this is your only shot at it.

I will have to think about this. Such a question deserves a proper response. In the mean time. This is a simple response.

This life, is but a breathe. We are here for a moment, and then that moment passes. What will we be remembered for, if we are remembered? We must stand out. We must be an example for the world to see. I want to be remembered for making a difference.

We are all Humans. Science has shown that we all descended from a single "family". Therefore, everybody is family. We are humanity. If one of us fails, then what is to become of the rest of civilization. If we spurn one person to hatred, he might inspire millions, which could lead to war. So then, I intend to lead my life, in the most noble manner possible. I want to see all of Humanity succeed. A perfect civilization, which we have only dreamed of. One where everybody cares about each other. Where Money is not the driving force, but the betterment of one's brethren. When Peace will not only endure, but BE.

I have a dream...

Wow, this topic is very deep. I don't think I can even come up with a worthy answer.

I believe life is a contest to improve yourself and your brethren (Monster so nicely calls them). Finding a way to make every person as happy as they possibly can be, without causing damaging the environment around us. Which is a task that is no where near completion.

Maybe we haven't discovered our true purpose yet, maybe all of this time, we have simply been preparing ourselves for what will come. Survival instinct was there to make sure we would life until this day of age, where we face extinction from another corner. Self-destruction, another way for humanity to perish and thus never reach its true purpose. This obstacle, too, we will have to pass/conquer, before we are anywhere near prepared to the purpose that awaits us.

What purpose could possibly still await us you ask? I honestly don't know. However, maybe we are still too petty minded to see past the curtain of illusions. Maybe we will have to pass another few obstacles for us to be both mentally as well as physically prepared for what is to come. Colonize space, ascend to a higher form of life, become enlightened? They're all possibilities, if studies show that the average person only uses 10% of his total brain capabilities then think of the possibilities the future can hold in store for us.

Ain't that the fucking truth?

If there is ONE thing I could go back in time and change, it would be to go back to the beginning of high school and retake my entire secondary education. I did alright for the first few years, but it was when I hit the third year that I began to slip and I started to fail in class. I don't really know why I started to fail either - I blame it on lack of interest, and it was around that time that depression and bullying kicked in thus losing concentration in class. So go to school, learn and don't bitch about it. I've kinda hit a dead end in my job being stuck in WHSmith, but you still have a chance. Don't waste it.

Anyway, on to the topic in hand, I believe life is meant to be lived and enjoyed, because a life not enjoyed is a life not worth living. You've been given one chance at life, and you must take this chance by the hair and ride with it. If you're given a unique opportunity, take it. That chance might never come again, and you'll only end kicking and hating yourself if it doesn't. Saying that, I also believe life has a more deeper and romantic meaning behind it - each person has a soulmate, and its this one person who you are meant to be with, marry, and have kids with. All that while enjoying life at the same time seems the ideal path through life, in my honest opinion.

My take on life is influenced heavily by Buddhism and Socrates (and somewhat by Plato and Aristotle).

We're supposed to live the best life possible given our situation. Our situation is we humans are here. There's no reason for us to be here that we know of, so we are just here. We live like the other organic beings and are part of the cycle of life and death. We've been given a wild card and with that we humans can make our own meaning to life. To add to that, I believe in becoming the best person possible. Meaning I work on improving myself on the inside and the outside. I practice self-discipline and kindness, and I also keep my body in shape. I don't know what the ultimate happiness is for me, but I bet it is finding a soul mate, having kids, and then dying as a satisfied man. Becoming the best person possible I think is the first step before finding a soul mate. I want to make sure I'm the best person for my soul mate, so that person is happy with me. Of course I want to be happy with that person too.

Using "person" sounds kinda gay, but I'm straight so just forget it. =)

Do everything to make your life better without pushing anyone aside or stepping on anyone, that is how I believe you should go about life. You don't have to go out of your way to help people but don't harm them.
