I know it`s for something like "kill", but what it stands for?
Well when I totally beat someone in a game and kill them easily i saw "i pwned joo" :p
For Example - "I pwned ScOrPY" *No offense*
Basically when you kill someone :)
To pwn is similar to 'own', just another way of saying 'I am better than you' really. . .
Like I pwn mek..... its the uber way to say HAHA im better like sheepeep said
Don't know where it came from, but maybe it's from the Counter Strike era. pwn - own pwned - owned My theory is, once there was a guy who was really bad at typing. He wanted to write "own" and typed "pwn", because "p" is next to the "o" on key pads. So the CS-community said "Wow, this so cool! I want to be special and show that I'm a CS-nerd, so I use "pwn" instead of "own" in future!" Nowadays you have to write pwn, because otherwise some people don't know what you talk about...
LOL I did not know that. Probably right about it too.
yeah, it's just a typo, like 'teh' instead of 'the'.
I always thought it stood for pure ownage.
Ah well...
