gnspr9If we could all be what we wanted to be, who would make the sandwiches at mcdonalds?:naughty:

The people who were to lazy, and the people who tried for what they wanted for the wrong reasons, I think trying anything for the money, as the priority messes up alot of people. ;)

Yes you do need perfect eyes for civilian aircraft. You have hundreads of lives on your responsibility. I read an article in our local newspaper about how hard it is to become a pilot. You need to spend thousands just for the psychological and physical tests. After you have passed that, you need to spend hundreads more for other tests. Then even if you get through those tests and beat those other possibly hundreads appliers you have to pass the really hard training and even after that its not sure if you get a job. So the final price rises to almost 100 000 €. Well im not sure if thats the situation there but it sertainly is here in Finland. Finland doesnt have so big/many airline companies so its harder here. My dream was (still is actually) to be a pilot. But my eyes arent perfect and it costs too much so im starting in aeronautics school on tuesday. Go for pilot. Try hard and dont give up. Good luck. smilie.gif

Thanks everyone. I'll consider what all of you said and hope that you are doing or will do something that you really enjoy.

if you're a funny guy with alot of originality, and comedy uniqueness, you could always try your luck with Standup Comedy, and if you're good, people will recognize you, and you may get promoted into acting by an actor. Like that's how Jim Carrey started his career as a comedian.

No you cant (not even contact lenses). You need to have excellent eyes and color vision. I dont know if they let you in if you have done laser surgery to your eyes. I think they will. I would do it if i had money...

Yeah, ambition is only part of it. You have to have much determination and want to persevere if you seriously want to go for those choices. I would look for further advice than just coming on here. But I'm sure you're doing that.
