I agree with you. Although, I think it'd be one extreme or another. They'd either love us and worship us, or hate us and try to kill us. Heh, good luck. M4s versus arrows.

First person to travel back in time would undoubtedly be a scientist. Unless he's Gordon Freeman, I doubt he'd last long.

The person would probably be speechless at first.

Then after much frustrating translation, we'd probably be viewed as gods in some way or another. Maybe the person would go bonkers because of all the advances we have today. *shrug* I don't know.

If we brought him to this century, would he understand the notion of time travel?

Some can be made to understand, otherwise the person would assume they were on a different plane of existence.

The individual would simply be in awe of what he has seen. Many of the customs would be strange. Just as visiting a foreign land. He would not be able to relate such an advanced, and vastly different culture.

Some parts of the Book of Revelation in the Bible may be of interest.

Then, depending on how deeply the individual explored our world, we would either be considered to be living in a utopia. Not having to sweat for our meals, and having meat at every meal, or honey if we desire. Not only that, but finding gold in every home (computers, rings, etc).

However, seeing the things this culture has become accustomed to. The venue of entertainment it values. They may well consider this era of humanity to be akin to the stories told of Sodom, and Gomorrah. Or even of the times of Noah.

We have the power to make this individual believe whatever we want him to believe. We have hindsight on our side, we would have a good idea of what the individual believes in.

i would have to say that this person would probably view us as pure evil, he would probably think that our world now, is to good to be true, with the abundance of food, clothing, materialism etc.. he would either believe that this is heaven or hell. since back then religion played a big role in ppl's lives. but then again i would take him out to an air show and feed him some McDonald's haha.

By grab do you mean "feel up Jesus" or Grab him throw him into our timeline?

In a heaven or hell scenario, I think he'd see it as a demonic illusion or something. At first. After showing him a few of the various churches and religions, he'd probably see it as a paradise of sorts. I mean, we're able to fly without wings, and breath beneath the surface of the water. We're even able to look at glass and see another area of the world.

I guess your average modern person would feel a little lost in the past. He wouldn't speak any contemporary language, he wouldn't have any useful skills and he'd probably suffer from being exposed to medieval hygiene, medical standards or food. Most of the tools or resources he'd need to produce something credible wouldn't be available and noone would trust him with any money necessary to start working on inventions.

Uwsar-Hat-Anupuw;4899098Grab him throw him into our timeline?

That reminds me of the intro for C&C Red Alert.
