when would you want to die, if ever? are you the type of person who just loves life too much, or who fears death, and thus wants to stay alive for ever? do you peacefully want to grow old, and die of old age? or have you already seen enough of this world, and do you think theres more to explore in the next (if there is one)? i myself would want to be no older then 70, or perhaps 80. i cant stand the thought of not being able to do everything i want myself, and having to ask for help with some of the most basic things. perhaps if they've gotten modern medicine far enough to have 80 year olds who can still do everything themselves, i would want to live longer. but with current medicine, i would not want to go past the 80.

Eternal youth doesn't sound bad.

Eternal youth. Except that will suck when the world finally does end and we haven't found a way to a new planet. I suppose I could launch myself into space and put myself to sleep and dream for eternity.

eternal youth indeed sounds tempting, but what i think you're forgetting is this: if you stay young for ever, you will outlive everyone. you will see all your loved ones die, you will outlive your children and grand children. you will outlive your partner, and you will suffer tragedies more then any other human being. thats what put me off it.

Then you can find new partners. Hell, if I was immortal, I would become the richest motha fucka in the land and get myself as many chicks as I want.

So? Live forever! Woo! As that's not going to happen, I'm going to say that I'd like to go out in a blaze of glory at the age of about 40-50, maybe even 60 depending on how easy life is. When simply existing becomes hard work, it's time to call it quits. Humans were never supposed to live for as long as they do now, and the serious negative effects that result from that can be seen in many places.

I would hate to live forever. Seeing everyone around you die and your not. You see your loved ones grow older and your not. I would hate that, that is one of my nightmares. I actually wouldn't mind dieing. I would love to see what the afterlife is like, if there is one. If there is a heavan and hell.

I either want to live forever, young, or die at the early age of about 60. I am extremely interested in seeing how our species evolves over the course of a few milleniums. It may be possible we won't even evolve any further than we are now due to a big war.

Yes, the evolution of humans would be fantastic to witness.
