Sorry you had to wait for a reply,*SW3D3*. It's true that spitting is not allowed on the streets of Singapore although some people still choose to do it. There was a lot of emphasis on this during the SARS period a few years ago. Chewing gum is not sold in Singapore. Usually, people buy chewing gum from our neighbouring countries like Malaysia. I think some small amounts of chewing gum that is for personal consumption is allowed to be brought to Singapore. They banned it somewhere in the 1970s I think. People were spitting it aroung onto the floor and sticking it on buses so they banned it. Smoking is allowed in smoking designated areas.:smokin:

holy shit, they banned gum? thats crazy! i heard in china people spit on the streets alot.

Wow, chewing gums for personal use. That is pretty neat. The country I live in allows narcotics for personal use. Talk about differences:lol:
