Honestly, are there actually such things such as apparitions, spooks and all that? As far as I'm concerned, neither me nor anyone I know has ever experienced such a thing and I've only seen people make crappy documentaries about how they had Satan try to kill them or some other-worldly being tried to take over or something. How can what somebody says on TV be taken as the truth? I don't think it should be so easily and yet people take the word of whoever is on the television for it and start to use it as an explanation for why something happens such as game pieces on a board moving or something like that which I doubt may even be true and their just perceiving it as that. Also, which freakin' law of physics says that water going down a drain has to go clockwise and counter-clockwise means something is wrong? Wouldn't it be totally dependant on the forces acting on the water? (However, it's not necessary that this question is addressed). So I want to ask, what do you think? Truth or a bunch of BS. I think it's BS used by people to exploit the natural human fear of the dark and such for their own enjoyment or so that they can feel equal to someone who wasn't necessarily afraid of the dark but is later on due to all this shit being stuffed into their heads.

Well, she might just be insane... =p

Doesn't the water rotation itself have something to do with earth's rotation? Honestly no idea but was the first thing that came to my head.

That said, people believe what they want to believe. The more fantastic it is, the more likely they are to believe it :P

That sucks... As for the Earth's rotation affecting water going down a drain, I don't understand how that has any effect since in a way the water and the Earth could be viewed as one body on a cosmic scale and I think that means it should not really have any effect as such.

Its the magnetic forces that effect the waters direction, and thus why it spins the other way the otherside of the equator, and goes straight down on the equator

It's wrong though...

The real reason is called the coreolis effect and it's what helps to make the wind patterns on earth, it's quite a weak effect so it doesn't actually greatly influence the way that water goes down the drain and that has more to do with any energy you impart on it before opening the plug. If you put your hand in a swirl the water clockwise it'll go down clockwise and vice-versa.

My dogs stare at the walls all the damn time. This is mostly caused by them hearing noises and listening for them again, I assume.

I enjoy watching Ghost Hunters on Sci-Fi, I get a kick out of it when they find things. I'm open on the subject, but until I see something, I won't lean either way.
