Does it annoy you in action films, when every two seconds, actors are like "Drop it! *cocks weapon*", yet they never eject an unused round, no matter how many times they do it?

I get why they do it, adds more atmosphere etc, but it just bugs me how fake it is lol.

Anyone else notice this?

lol fair do.

When you've got one like mine, its hard not to mention (I said hard, there I go again!).

Yeah its cool, but when you see them do it two or three times without even firing off a round, its irritating lol. To be honest, I'm annoy people when I go to see action films, especially if it contains military aircraft. I'm always like "yeah whatever, that's so fake and could/would never happen!"

Agreed. I think it is rather annoying but then again if it didn't cock what would happen next?

Haha, yup, "Drop it! *silence*" doesn't quite sound as good, but still, some films are just way OTT.

They can cock their weapons as many times as they like, for all of their firearms are equipped with bottomless magazines which continually materialise new rounds on demand. Any unspent cartridges are simply absorbed back into the magazine and used to materialise new ones. This is also what allows them to fire an MP5 constantly for five minutes without needing to reload, incidentally.

I'd be more worried about the fact that all of these movie heroes are running around with broken guns. Ever noticed how, with even the slightest movement, their weapons sound like all of the internal mechanisms have come to pieces and started rattling around?

it is cool and for suspense but I know what you mean.... I have counted multiple 'cocks'(tee hee) when not even 1 round has been fired. It does annoy me like most unrealistic things in movies but i suppose you have to deal with it
