you know, those huge annoying things that grow in where there's no room.

mine are in on the bottom and are starting to push my front teeth together and it hurts really bad.

need to get them taken out.

anyone else have theirs out? what age? did it hurt? how long did it hurt afterward?

Heh, I had a thread like this. Same title, too. It kind of made me mad, becasue mine didn't hurt and were even coming in relatively straight, but they still took them out. That was about a month ago, I think. Actually, it was the day the BF2 demo came out (don't know when that was), becasue I remember playing while all drugged up. But anyways, it never really hurt after the surgery, becasue it took about six hours for the numbness to go away. And I hd trouble eating some things for a couple days afterwards. The surgery itself doesn't hurt much either, you're pretty much out the whole time. The worst part was that I was drooling blood until midnight the day I had my surgery. I just held a cloth up to my mouth so it wouldn't get all over everything. It got better when I drank a milkshake though... Oh, yeah, you can't eat anything the morning before your surgery. But you probably won't really want to. For me, the whole thing just turned out as a good excuse to miss four days of practice.

Removing wisdom teeth can cause alot of problems, namely loose teeth, I suggest you think carefully about it, it may cause more pain and problems in the future then a little bit of minor pain every once in awhile. I for one have all my wisdom teeth, and they have all come up, none of which are of any pain.

I had mine taken out when I was 14. They put me to sleep, I woke up with a numb mouth, couldn't eat actual food for a week. I had to take painkillers and anti-biotics to stay healthy. There was very little pain involved, just extreme discomfort.

had my bottom wisdom teeth extracted when i was 16. if they're bothering you now - they'll get a lot worse. mine were impacted - terrific agony. having them removed was a big relief. the surgery was not painful - i was anesthetized. recovery was painful for 2 days.

Haven't given me any problems. I would prefer that they remain in, but my dentist insists that it will cause all the other teeth to become crooked and cause extreme pain. Personally I just think business has been a bit slow and he needs the money. :uhm:

Crooked teeth can be fixed, loose teeth cannot be.
