Woman who trashed cat asks 'What's the big deal?' | World | News | Toronto Sun

I love the backlash she's got for this. I don't feel sorry for her at all.

There is no reason to be putting kittehs in teh bin. :(

My favorite bit"I hope she likes pizza," one user wrote after posting her address.

Daughter's phone number.... It does seem an awful lot of fuss over what is essentially a property crime.

Death threats or publishing her daughter's phone number seems a bit exaggerated, but she deserves a bit of public humiliation. I wouldn't be too happy if someone trashed my pet either.

By Tuesday evening, Bale's home address, phone number, work address and phone number, daughter's phone number, Facebook profile and even posted GPS coordinates and Google Street View images of the woman's house.

Fuck. Its kind of scary to think how much a group of people can find out about you just from searching the web... I think the daughters phone number is a bit uncalled for though seeing as how she has nothing to do with it.

Goddamn what a dumb bitch "I expected it to wiggle out", a cat that is less than a year old simply cannot jump and bump that heavy door open.

I own an orange cat that is over a year old and you do not know what I am capable of if you do such a thing.

I agree the daughter's phone number isn't called for, or death threats but, I think a lot of visits from the local pizza parlor and a subsantial number of prank calls are in order for Kitteh offenders such as this evil woman.

Granted it wasn't very clever or thoughtful of this woman to put the cat in the trash can, but I do think everything has been blown a little out of hand here. Personal details spread across the internet, along with death threats? Over a cat? Sure, I think she should maybe get some verbal abuse, but you'd call it at that.

I would imagine half the people causing trouble aren't doing such because they care about the cat, they're probably doing it out of boredom, and couldn't care less about the cat. I'd like to think society a little better than this, obviously not.

Yes, the woman was stupid, yes she was cruel, but death threats are not the answer here.

I think she gets everything she deserves. What sort of sick person does such a thing to a small, defenceless animal? If I were the owner of that kitten, I'd hunt the woman down (not that I'd need to, 4chan did it for me) and do all sorts of nasty things to her house and her. I'm thinking cat poo smeared all over the windows, a fresh bag of turd through the letterbox, amongst many other things. I have no sympathy for her at all, scumbag.

I concur. Some level of public humiliation seems in order, but death threads and involving other families into this is taking it too far.

I fail to see how putting a cat or other animal (dog, puppy, a humnan infant, you name it) is "fun". Though I suppose things couldhave been much worse if direct physical force was applied. :(
