ok this will be long so just please read it through and give me your input thanx...and no azzhole remarks plz:-)
Here is the pic I wanted to use: (attached)..I wanted to animate It and change it to TGA..(I need someones help for this)..I want it to spin and shoot out energy out the center like the one in DS9..I think in Adobe Animation shop 3 there has to be several frames but I dont know if it will work in BC.. i think it will have to be several frames...one will be just space ,the second one will be the start of the mouth of the wormhole with a timer of some sort that will tell it when to open, then the third one will be the pic I attached(also with a timer telling it how long to stay open), then the frames will be in backwards order so it will close. I also want to be able to fly through it...so I was thinking that a wormhole model could be made(basically a station that looks like a still of the wormhole and all u have to do is dock to it and then it will shoot a cutscene that will show another animated pic(that i found on SCFI.com)of the inside of the wormhole then when you come out your on a way different map than you were originally on...I think I might try and copy one of the coolest maps from freelancer to be on the other side..like I said I need help with this wormhole,I cant seem to get it to work by itself let alone the game..the map ill figure out myself...I need good responses please...People that can animate TGA files well and will be able to get it into the game just let me know and ill give you the part thats sposed to look like the inside so that can be animated too..I think another view would be cool too to make it more realistic..because the wormhole in the pick is kind of sideways..the ship should be able to face the mouth before it enters/docks with it
cool can u teleport ships in bc? cus u could have a wormhole either end of a system and go through the wormhole and be teleported to the other one
Im not sure about teleportion ...so thats why I mentioned making it dock with a station that looks like a wormhole so it still would seem like your going through a wormhole and you will still be on the other side..
That would probably be the best solution, make it a dockable object. However animating it could be a problem.
