HAHAHAHAHA. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/more/12/05/wrestling.steroids.ap/index.html Anyone else find this amuzing as hell? I put this in here due to wrestling NOT being a real sport ;)

It's like they are pretending there is real competition going on. Who cares if they take roids? If they were not all roided up who would want to see flabby half naked men groping eachother? Oh man did I get a laugh out of this. What WWF/WWE wrestler doesn't take roids :lolpoint:

Are you saying that you want to see muscular half-naked men groping each other?

Well, being shot in the head with a 12 gauge beats bleeding to death via penis removal, but that doesn't mean I'd want to be shot in the head with a 12 gauge. :clueless:

So you're saying you'd rather have your penis removed?

As for the topic... Why bother to test entertainers? If they want to take roids let them. All thanks to the dead druggie Eddie.

Point being, muscular men groping each other may well be better than flabby men groping each other in your estimation, but I don't want to see either of them regardless.

It maintains the illusion. Why bother to have rewards for 'winning' when it's all scripted anyway? Why bother keeping score? Why bother counting people out when they're pinned down?

Dear oh dear.

Typical that someone would have to wander in, about a week and a half after the new policy came into effect, with no idea what they are talking about.

First off all, regardless of if it is a real sport or not, it's still a demanding and physical experience. Many wrestlers use pain killers and other drugs to keep themselves going. You just don't understand the demands the show takes. You walk in, "Oh it's not a real sport so they don't feel anything", professional wrestlers feel far more pain than your average sportsman. The ending is scripted, the story is scripted, the danger and the pain is very real.

Also, this is not about Eddie Guererro. At least not entirely. In Manchester last week, during a RAW house show, Nick "Eugine" Dinsmore was rushed to hospital (a hospital not far from me). The reason for that was he was found passed out, after overdosing on drugs. This was the spark for the new drug policy.

WWE has always had a stance on drugs, this is just a much more tuff enforcement. The mainstream news coverage has been slow to pick up on this. WWE wrestlers do not take steroids, else they would be released on the spot. They do take pain killers, and some take "recreational drugs". This new policy is to find people who have drugs problems either through the use of pain killers or recreational drugs, and to get them help.

This is not what in the wrestling industry is known as a "work" or an "angle". This is a very much backstage change and is designed for the health and wellbeing of the performers of the industry. If you knew anything about wrestling beyond "oh muscle men in tights" you would realise what a benefit this is.

Please don't start to cut something down when you know nothing about the industry in question.
