It should be a concern when ANYONE is taking drugs.

But would you of put so much effort in to a post on a thread about Heroin users?

We could very well be talking about Heroin users, in some cases, perhaps.

However there is a marginal difference between people who take pain killers and other substances to help entertain an audience three, four times a week (and WWE does NOT have an off season, remember) and between people who stand on street corners wasting their lives away.

If you knew these people, especialy Wrestlers who have been in the business five, ten, even more years than that, you would know they have such a huge passion to go out and make an audience happy. Just because there are a lot of people on this forum inparticular who can't come to terms with the fact it's not real (scarred from Child hood, folkes? Yes, Santa is not real either. Getting presents this year?) this does not mean it's not a good form of Entertainment. It makes a lot of people happy, and it takes a lot to make these people happy, you have to sacrifice your body for it.

Again, just because everyone is all smiles backstage, and the outcome and story is scripted, the pain and danger is not.

So no, I would not write such a speach for a bunch of crack-heads on street corners. But they don't deserve such a speach.

Wrestling is a sport IMO, I don't like it though. And drugs shouldn't be used in any sport. Sports are about natural talent not about taking drugs to aid you. I can accept special "tools" to aid you (to a certain extend, a dart that always will hit a bulls eye would be kinda nasty as a tool to aid you  ).

Wrestling is a sport, but Extreme Wrestling isn't. The kind where they can pick up chairs, tables, and other stuff and pretend to hit people with it.

I honestly can't believe that this sport is still going - I mean, it's been proven that it's not real, so it's just a bunch of BS. I was hoping it'd turn out like the XFL...

Is Anybody reading what I am saying?

Did you know, for example, that most of the program's on TV are fake? I know this is hard to understand, but Springfield really isn't a town populated by yellow people, and JR wasn't shot. Everybody who watches WWE, TNA, Ect. Ect. know that it is not real. Just the same as when you go to see a movie, you know it's not real, but it's a way of escaping reality, being able to make things happen when they can not usualy happen, a way of making people forget about real life.

There wasn't a conspiracy and one day everyone went, "OH GOD! ITS NOT REAL!?" It's been painfully obvious and supposed to have been from day one it's not. People do NOT rise from the dead and set people on fire by calling thunder from the sky like The Undertaker did, and yes, blowing up a stage with someone under it is a criminal offence. Almost every wrestling fan over the age of 15 will be talking about "Works", "Angles", "Pushes" and other stuff like this, the Wrestling Industry is designed to be and is openly, fiction. Many of it's fans openly predict, talk about and work on it's story lines and plot angles. Even WWE.com post "shoot" material that gives away the plot and talks about how it really is compaired to the story.

The whole "I can't beleve this because Wrestling is fake!!!! " has to stop. No Shit. But so is every other work of fiction. It's NOT SUPPOSED to be real.

Am I the only one here with a sprinkle of an understanding of the Wrestling Industry?

Well I could care less about this wwe thing, except the girls got it going on, as far as looks and body, (yes Iam checking out the chicks lol),, My thinking about this drug testing thing is,, if they are getting paid that much money to put on a "show" then yes they should get tested, its that simple,, If I own or ran it, each and every person would have got tested years ago, just like the business I run, each person gets tested, no matter what,, yes even me, just to keep it level.. You want paid,, you gotta piss to show you deserve it.. Simple and plain....

The WWE is a non sport. It's a redneck soap opera.

Who cares about 'roids?

It's like the Mr.Olympia competition. The year they outlawed 'roids, all the guys were a lot smaller...so they just said "fuck it, use steroids!"

FYI, Eddie didnt die from an Overdose. It was cause of heart failure, which was caused by his druggie days a few years back weakening his blood vessels, but anyway. I think that even though "rasslin" isnt real, it still is a physically demanding form of entertainment. Just cause the guys take steroids doesnt mean they dont have real muscles. They still have to be physically fit. Those who do take the steroids are usually fit as a fiddle, but not "brutish" looking enough. And all of the moves they do require a good bit of coordiantion. A inch off when a pile driver is used, and the guy could wind up with a broken neck. So please people, stop saying there's nothing to wrestling. Now granted, most of the storylines are just plain dumb, and some of the "hardcore" stuff (chairs and weapons and whatnot) is fake (for safetys sake), it is still a very rough line of business. I wont call it a sport, simply cause its usually pre determined and all, but you have to be stupid to say that its easy.

Well isn't it obvious that they are all on lots of ROIDS! Most of them are paying the price in the long run though, sadly.
