i think u are all wrong!!! robobond, kids arent retarded, every kid knows what blod is, when he cuts himself by accident, falls, etc.. everyone knows that guns inflict death because it is a fact, and it is in movies.. seeing people die, does not effect the kid at all... i watched gore movies and games sinse i was born.. my dad never minded that stuff.. ya and now i go around shooting ppl the face, while riding a hovercraft, and occasionaly hiting people with a crowbar.. NO! i dont do that No one does that!! No kids are affected by a game. i have the right to play as much as u adults do.. i hate it when im told by people like u ( element ) to stop doing whatever i want.. nothing has ever happaned because of games, period!! nothing has ever happaned because of music!!

I never said that. I have been playing bad games for quite a long time. And as far as kids being retarded I never said that but I don't think most of them know guns are as dangerous as they are. I myself am a gun collector and I think with proper respect they can be the really fun. But if I ever had a kid they would be locked up. You can't tell a kid not to touch a gun and expect, most of them, if they find one not to touch it or play with it. Me I grew up around violence and turned out fine. I too hate people who say that video games are evil. Maybe I worded it wrong and you misunderstould me. I'm saying that if someone can't get a game that has gore that they shouldn't try to take it out.

Gentlemen, I wish to put in my two cents worth, first of all it depends on what age we are talking about. Second it depends on the maturity of the kid. As far as seeing murders on TV and movies, kids do not get a true perspective of what really happens when someone dies. The TV and movies never show the pain cause to the families or the fatherless child. When a gun is fired on the TV or Movie it is only a fraction of the violent shock that takes place in real life. Now I will get to my point, although violet games do not cause you to go out and kill someone, they do dull your senses to blood and violence. So when you see someone on the street getting mugged or beaten, you shrug you shoulder and turn the other way because you do not think about that really being a person. You do not get angry or even care. That is why I, as a father, are mostly against violent programs for young children. Again it depends on the child and they ability to seperate the difference between reality and fantasy. I believe a person should be able to turn off the blood if they wish and those who do not want to are not force to. This is a message from Halo Mash's dad...

One last thing, if you are carring a cup of coffee and someone bumps you, you spill coffee. The same holds true for the human heart, if you spend alot of time in this pertend world that is what will come out when someone bumps you.....

Well Halo Mash's Dad it is kool to see u replied. but look at ur son, and try to tell me u think he will be dulled by video games, and decencitised to violence? u know he wont, if u are a good person, so will ur son be. i played gore games ever since they were made and im 14 right now.. when 335 kids died in russia i was sad beyond belief, and i was drawing a ww2 tribute picture with a crying child who lost his father and i started crying about it.. i never cry, so it shows that im not decencitised to violence, death, and pain of loosing relatives. if i am not, y would ur son be? who do u believe in more? ur son or me?? if i could manage, so can ur son. i believe the only people that get effected are children with problems. if ur kid doesnt have a mental problem, then it is safe isn't it? what do u think? after all you can't always get ur son to believe that life is so great in awesome like it is in usa/canada/swiss, etc. same thing with sex. u can't hide sex from a child, sex is a big part of life, and so is pain, blood, and duying relatives. if we try to mask everything why not say world war 2 never happaned? what do u think Edit: Also i don't understand why blood is so offensive.. same thing with private parts of the human anatomy. we are made to think it is nasty, or whatever, when in reality we all have blood, penises, vaginas, etc.

The blood and gore in video games are made up of little pixels. Just remember that. I work in a operating room, and handling real blood is my job. Did that disensetized me to blood? Well, yes, it did. I see it every day. It doesn't bother me anymore. I still would not go out and cut some one up. Thats what criminals do. They can't control themselves, and act out their thougths. Thats the cause of violence. Not entertainment.

I agree, people should have the right to choose the amount of blood and gore if at all.

I think its alright for a 14 year old to play violent games, at that age you can tell from right or wrong, and id be a hipocrite if I said they shouldnt cuz I did at that age. Younger children however....

What I hate is the people like the 18 or 20 year old in England who killed someone and blamed it on a video game. Like he doesn't know what's right or wrong by that age.

yea i know that is pretty gay it was ythe video games not me boo hoo. hey des any1 know i f he got off with that plea, i hpope not.

A BIT OFF TOPIC BUT NOT REALLY: you guys know that new kill jfk game that the uk made? yea well th at is sick and i htrink it should be banned from the market it is sick. goa nd kil the president of the US well that is stupid and should be banned

i ahve been playing M games since well umm 12 im 15 rihgt now and while thats not all i play, it haas affected me. i have ben able to say like look at that static mesh and crap but that's only because i have mapped for it like in doom 3 (the worst game this year) played it and beat it and i was able to detach myself from the hgame and ignore the gore as a part of the game so i suppos i was desnsitized toward . im not sure maybe but i could separate it from my real life

video games can cause psycological problems during i forget what yeas but it can cause violent behavior while we dont want to believe it it must be true becasue ther are many more crimes being commited than like 7 years ago becaus the games have made them more agressive and mean and it ahs cange them a lot our society is being changed wheter we like it or not and the only way to lower the crime rate is to make it illegial for them to play it but i guess it all depends on the aturity of the kid idk its a jard call to make simetimes and that is why it is lef tup to the parents
