Yeah DOD is coming out soonroll%20eyes%20%28sarcastic%29.gif But how many of you would pay for this game? Really but why get cs:s "free" and hl2 in the package your not getting cs:s "free" you payed like almost $70 for hl2, your paying for like both games dont you think? Why pay more for a mod, just a mod!? Its sad cause you dont see anyother modders forceing you to pay. Just wanted to get that off my chest, cause I keep hearing dod:s is going to cost money and if it was mix with like a battlefield 1942 maps and vehicles then I would pay but for maps that are so compact and its a mod to product some how, and there our other great mods to pick from and these one mod cost moneywhy sould we pay more? Games cost enough on the selfs!:ak3:

CS:S and DOD:S cost money because VALVe bought them. Yes, they started out as free mods, but VALVe bought the rights from the creators. That's why you need to pay. It's called business. Let's say you create a mod and people like it a lot. You get an offer from a game developer to let them make your mod in a more professional way, add more stuff and a new engine in exchange for some cash upfront or royalties for every game sold. What would you say? No? Of course you'd say yes! No matter how much you whine, you need to pay. It's just "supply and demand".

When they released videos of the Beta gameplay in DoD:S, I was extremely un-impressed. Everything in the game looked exactly the same, minus the fact that it was running on the Source engine. The guns were the same. Models look like normal DoD and even the HUD was very similar. It feels like they didnt really put any thought into it, and expect people to pay (insert $ here) to play the exact same game. But then again that was just the BETA. Maybe it will be different. Valve and God know, shouldnt you?

I just have these things to comment about: 1. Battlefield pwns DOD 2. Agreed, we don´t need to pay to play a MOD, but if it´s to support HL3 project I´ll pay for DOD:S, but I dislike DOD, Battlefield rules!

well yes, Fh has the vehicles and the huge maps.so it cannot be compared to a squad level fps like DOD. DOD vs CS, DOD wins bar none. if the mod is like $20 il buy it but i migth hold out a while if its more than that
