1st of it would be nice to alyx naked or do the monster mash woooooo:lol: but i don't think valve would allow the pilot of the chop plus it russian and they always have probs with there stuff specialy aircraft but i'd like to see and fight the people the G man works for it would be neat or even go back to black mesa which is probly were they are but it would be nice but i also wounder if the combine would use that as a portal to there world since that is were the resonesans started?:uhm:

I personally would love to see dx10 support. Preferable a longer episode as well, non the less I'm sure valve will do a excellent job at it like usual.

Well, you have to remember that by the time of Half-Life 2 (et al.) Black Mesa has been a sheet of radioactive glass for quite some time.

yeah, its been rotting for like 20 years... I don't really want to re-visit it. Still, I hope in HL3 (not ep3) they have desert environments. I think the graphics in ep.2 were fine, although I think there should have been more foliage (bushes and trees and tall grass) Even though that probably won't apply to ep.3 considering it won't be in the forest. The only other thing I can think of would be more dynamic shadows.

They're going north - I'd expect Arctic and tundra conditions if I were you. Maybe an excuse for some snow weather effects? I mean, is it just me or did it never rain in City 17?

Mr. Matt;4034178Sounds kinda like a static version of the dark matter gun in Quake 4. It would certainly explain why people would be so afraid of the Borealis if it contained stuff like that aboard.

Although, it would have to have a serious impact on the environment as well (i.e. not just crates, but the walls of the ship), as you can't really create a black hole that only pulls people into it.

1) i didnt really know my idea came from quake 4 cuz i dont play it =(

2) i just didnt want to make my paragraph long and add in the details that boxes and lighter stuff will be pulled in.... its quite basic knowledge for those who've played half life 2 most of their life :P

there might be problem with the gun thou... wat if the AI accidentally shoots it at the side of a wooden box :P

Not saying it's a rip-off, just saying it's kinda similar. The Strogg had a dark-matter gun which basically fired this black-hole-like special effect that, as it moved through the environment, sucked up and dragged enemies and killed almost all enemies in one shot. Handy for clearing out rooms of weak-but-irritating bad guys.

It wasn't like you're describing in that it moved like a projectile, albeit a slow projectile, and didn't 'persist'. Once it hit a wall or went a certain distance it just dissipated.

Yeah, but I was thinking about walls and stuff too. I mean, a black hole powerful enough to pull people in is at least going to bend metal walls a bit, if not rip them to pieces altogether. And if they did allow destructible environments, after only a few shots there wouldn't be much of the Borealis left!

Maybe it could just be a special weapon for a particular point in the game?
