If some guy steals Gabe Newell's watch and the police finds me with it, I'm as guilty as if I had stolen it myself.

Thats a very differnt scenario, there is a HUGE differnce between physical and intellectual property. Nobody is out of a personel item. No money was spent delivering goods.

i have 3 things 2 say

1.i almost lotally agree with fragger. 2.i dont give a ****about the monsters but thos guns....... 3.some1 should (with perrmission fragger)make a mod with those weapons cos it would look better 2 have resitance with the ak47 and get 2 use the stunstick*drools* :cool: :D :)

You cannot use any media taken from the alpha in a mod. As has been mentioned it would probably fall under 'stolen intellectual property' and legal action could be taken against you for releaseing it.

i was quite disapointed that there was not a sniper rifle in HL2. ok the crossbow has a scope on it but it wouldnt compare to how cool a sniper rifle is... am hoping for one in HL3 :)

Most of those monsters and weapons look like they belong in hl1, but the rest are nice.

Pretty much all the code for the sniper rifle is there anyway. all you have to do it copy it into another CPP file, weapon_awp, for example, change a few bits then set a model for it in the script file and volia! A fully functioning sniper rifle with 2 modes of zoom and its own powerful ammunition type. EDIT: here... sg550.jpg sg550_zoom.jpg

valves perrmission+super uber mod makers+all those weapons and (optional)monsters =super duper bloody uber mod it would be too real with resistance with aks and mp5k smgs and gettin 2 hold(for once!)the stun baton!!!!!!!!!
