Whatever the hell this thread title means...but anyway, the link is broken.
it means Vivendi universal is approving HL2 and going to go gold soon.
It means that VU gets to look at the game and decide if they want to release it now, or have Valve fix some more things first. Also, the link works but the website is just getting way too much traffic for the servers to handle.
For those of you who do not believe that is the "real" Gabe posting, his IP address is correct. Also, you can look at this email that was received from Gabe. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v364/Maxey/w00t.png
dear sweet mother of god its finally here....its been so long that i had lost hope...lol cool
Just wish to say don't give your hopes up cause it's still a candidate, but I'm still excited. Think i'll get back to playing RO. And thanks to RO, HL2 is going to be here faster cause it's taken my mind off of HL2. See ya on the battlefield.
It means that Vivendi have recieved a version of Half-Life 2. They then check it out, play it and assess it. If accepted, they recieve the proper official thing for publishing. There is a possibility of it being turned down. If so, VALVe will be looking for another publisher which means yet another delay. Also, publishing isn't a 1 day or 1 week job. There's millions of copies to be made. :nodding:
Yeh VUG will turn away Half-life 2..................................................................they;d have to be pretty stupid azz if they did that.
You never know sid ... u never know.
VALVe would have to be pretty stupid to leak HL2 and delay it ... right?
Well Hl2 is a guarenteed cash cow. So unless it is unspeakably bad, so bad it could hurt the publishers reputation, then they shouldn't have to shop around.
I can feel it drawing nearer!
