Just in from the Steam Forums:

Tomorrow at 11 am PST, the Half-Life 2 Steam offers will be ready for purchase. Details and pricing for these offers are pasted below. Those who purchase via Steam, will receive the final version of Counter-Strike: Source immediately. Half-Life 2 and other games in the Steam offerings will be made available to purchasers upon their release.

ATI/Half-Life 2 bundle owners may redeem their product key for the Bronze offer or apply their key toward the purchase of either the Silver or Gold offers, receiving a credit equal to the price of the Bronze offer.

Also tomorrow, the Counter-Strike: Source beta will close. Valve would like to thank the thousands of gamers who participated in the beta and helped make it a success.

The reason that all only comes to 3.5GB is because VALVe used some really enhanced compression tool to cut down on disk usage space, am I right?

But, u still gotta decompress before playing.

I think its compressed for easier and faster downloading.

I just downloaded the Half-Life 2 Silver edition! The CS:Source is freakin awesome! Also you get Condition Zero, Day of Defeat (Source), and more.

Sorry for double post, how long does it take to d-load on 560k [thats 560 not 56], because I may d-load it tomorrow and would want to play it in the evening. EDIT: Getting Bronze Edition.

The Gold, Silver, and Bronze packages are exclusive to Steam buyers. Retail packages are as follows:

* Standard Edition — includes HL2 and CS:Source. Ships on six CDs, in one of three box-art packages (Gordon, Alyx or the G-Man),
