Where can I get it without having to buy the whole HL2 gold or silver edition? I already own Half-Life 2.

I think thats the only way you can get it, besides if your hoping for some spectacular remake don't get your hopes up, I heard all they did was remade a few textures and the water was remade, just go buy the original at walmart.
Yea experiance the orginal in ALL its glory.
I got the Half-Life 2 collectors edition. Its a big black box with all three character faces. It has Half-Life 2, Half-Life: Source, and Counter-Strike: Source. It also comes with a little hint book and a T-shirt. But it is $79.95.

I stand corrected, I didnt even think of the collectors issue.
I believe there is a mod based on re-creating Half-life 1 on the source engine with proper graphics. If I'm not mistaken it's called Black Mesa: Source. But it just started and it'll take a while before it's done.
I read on other websites that Half-Life: source can be downloaded via steam. Is this true and how do you do it because when I select purchase it show me the half life gold edition and silver edition? How much money would it cost to download it?
Its not worth it..... the graphics are all the same except now there are rag dolls and a little bitof reflections... oh and the water..
thats all.... sounds are a Liiiiiiiittle bit changed too..

What he said - not worth it. I'd say it's not even worth the extra you pay for the CE, but I'm stuck with it, which also has CSS. The hint book has just got walkthroughs of the first 2 levels and a bunch of character history and art, but t-shirt's pretty neat though - it's all black, with a white HL2 logo about 2and1/2 inches across - WOW!!!
