Looks like Halo 2. They've had all this time to work with the X360 hardware and this is all they can come up with? World textures look low-res and shitty...it looks horrible, this is a mockery to the xbox 360! IMO looks like a combination of ass & fail. :uhm: My favorate quote:

it's the same shit with slightly more polys and mildly sharper textures, I remain unimpressed. If they wanted to truly impress they would hold-off on releasing the hype truck. I hate how Microbungie cannot contain it's massive boner for rehashing the same shit anymore. I see NO difference.

Also, I like Alyx's character, & I love the concept art of her; so I have this as my avatar.

As I said in another forum, I have seen many game's where even in their early stages of development, still looked amazingly beautiful; Like Battlefield 2, Doom 3, Crysis, Half-Life 2, & far cry.

Halo is known for its lack luster level design & utterly repetitive game play. Also, Bungie allways keep their old crappy models & paste them in the newest version of halo with some newer textures. Plus its idiotic of bungie to release screens of halo 3, even though it looks like shit; they do it to stir up the marketing hype, the fact is halo is just an average FPS, not what people hype it up as.

The case with Battlefield 2 is funny. It's such a rushed and hastly done game, realy one of those made for profit. But yet every time I play it I have to admit that it looks good, not the case with expansion packs or 2142 though, textures are badly done and design is just so terribly wrong.

I remember EA's Scott Evans say that during development they wanted to tone the graphics down because it was way too demanding, but that did little to help; Its still a buggy game.

I wouldn't say the gameplay is repetative. Sure the AI is too narrowed down to what they can do, and higher difficulty just gives you easier sheild and health loss instead of smarter AI. That's what the problem is in the AI, not enough maneuver, enemies react the same way too much. But to make it seem like the enemy is smarter, they make your health and shields decrease faster with higher difficulty levels. Half-Life games have somewhat smarter AI without huge differences in the damage rate to your character.

P.S. Someone mentioned "BEAT" and appeared confused by it. I meant which game will turn out to be better than the other, or which game will receive the ultimate GOTY award at the AIAS awards. Though it is quite impossible for this to happen since HL3 (don't start talking about this) is broken up into chunks, and released at different times. So, really it's impossible for Halo 3 to beat Half-Life 3 because HL3 will be released at different times. If Half-Life 3 was released all at once then it would be possible if and only if the two games were released at the same time.

Not only buggy, but also narrowly designed and lacks alot of stuff which would be useful to modding it. Also very silly but annoying underworking, for example it occured not long ago that the exporting tool for models was dividing every flat poligon into three flat poligons. I belive I don't have to drill the topic further on. Still, one can make awesome looking maps on it. Sorry for going off topic.

This has been so funny to look over, the Grammer War also rocked! Really i found Halo an Ok game, i sold it and instead i play the trail version that has tons of players still playing on it! HL 2 rocks but i once thought it sucked because of all that garabe my friends played but i gave it a chance and loved it!

In HL2 episodes, there are more graphical enhancements than just HDR/bloom. In ep2 self shadowing on objects has been added which is greatly needed, and improved cinematic physics systems. Large forests are now also possible. In ep1 the AI became unscripted, like in FEAR and oblivion. HDR and bloom was added and the animation systems were improved (look at Alyx), new scripting components to easily create new AIs, some kind of blurring technique, the facial expression systems have also been improved, textures are improved, aome special effects are improved (dunno what they are called) and there are probably things i have forgotten...
