I noticed that on one really talks about him to much. I was think it would be cool if valve did more episodes of half life but where you play as barney to see what happened to him. Because wouldn't it be great to play the seven hour war instead of just hearing it or reading it. Plus I think barney deserves a sequel from his expansion.
Ofcourse it would be nice, it's just that as far as now he's been nice addition and not realy some very developed one. His dialogues in game are fun but it's just not something that makes you start threads about.:p
i reckon we will be fighting with barney ALOT more in episode 2 as alyx isnt around (well alot more that half life 2 and episode 1 put together i think)
i mean judging by the gamplay trailers and such
big battles wouldnt be big battles without barney
and yea i do know what you mean by playing as barney and such but it wouldnt fit no more as barney now has a voice (a proper voice different than all the voices that sounded the same in half life 1)
and playing as barney sounds like what a developer not vavle would make
though i would proberly see vavle making a seven hour war game though
It'd be OK, but it's already been done, hasn't it? A Seven Hour War game would be good though.
Do you see gman in blue shift?
Yes, but only once in the INSECURITY chapter, before the Resonance Cascade.
MAN! Those graphics are old... but classic. I can't stand Half-Life: Source anymore.
To be honest, I think that Half-Life: Blue Shift is the ugliest of all games done on the first engine. It simply has poor level design and quickly done textures with little variation.
It would be neat to have a Barney game... being undercover as a combine, leading the beginnings of the resistance, promising beers. But you would have to do lots of rebel-leading, and I didn't really enjoy that. First-person stealth/espionage as Barney would be aweeeesome...
Blue shift was the game that sucked so hard you could feel yourself being pulled into your screen, even with the 'graphical upgrades'.
Well. At least we have the great graphics of Half-Life 2 to keep us company now.
