at 1024x768 in SPCT w/ HDR and everthing on with SM 3.0 i get under 25 frames a sec so if i wanna play at 1024X768 i have to trun HDR off and i get a much better FPS so itll probally be the same deal with TLC.
Well I want to play with it on because I got a taste of HDR in the mini-mod for HL2 and it look amazing so...Yeah. Here's a little screenie of the mini-mod.
send more shots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
or was that 1 of my shots that I posted earler ? LOL
The mod is available somewhere on Half Life 2 Files. As for the screenies I took them and here's a couple more.

http://halflife2.filefront.com/file/HalfLife_2_R8_HDR_Bloom_MiniMod;38224 Here is it. And: " 4) Is this really HDR? That's a good question. With out getting too technical, the effect itself is processed in a High Dynamic Range before it is Tone-Mapped to the low dynamic range Half-Life 2 and your video card are using. So yes and no ;D."
that minimod is not HDR its Bloom Effect... anyways, u will need a graphics card with pixel shading 2.0 for the HDR effect. i run on a: P4 3.4 Ghz with Hyper Threading 1GB PC3400 DDR RAM ( upgrading to 2GB DDR2 533MHz RAM ) ATI RADEON X800XT 256MB PCI EXPRESS i can run HL2 on highest on 60FPS so lost coast should not be a problem... oh and all of u with the 6800, Pixel shading 3.0 isnt faster or deliver better effects, when my friend played Far Cry or Painkiller Battle Out of Hell with PS 3.0 i didnt see any difference on the graphics or peformance, PCgamer says thats its no difference too, and it slows down the game for some reason. ( in Far Cry ) guess we gotta wait for Pixel shading 4.0 if we are gonna get better effects...
thanks for the link.
as for as pixel shading goses SM 3.0 has better FX but not that much and with SM 3.0 it is easier for devlopers to use SM 3.0 to make games a bit easier asto oppssed as SM 2.0............... anyway dose any1 have new info and or screens on TLC ???
Well I read on CS Banana that it has been delayed and it might be released after DoD:S. Here are a couple more screenshots from DoD:S and the article taken from HalfLife2.net:
Yesterday it was announced by Valve that Day of Defeat: Source finally has a release date (September 26th!). When enquiring about getting a screenshot (ours is the one on the left, the other two are new releases from IGN PC), I also decided to ask Doug regarding the Lost Coast and when it will be released. This is his response:
Lost Coast will follow DoD. No specific date to share just yet.
What does this mean? Well, in my opinion it simply means that The Lost Coast just isn't finished yet. Although there is another possible theory before screaming the word "delayed" like a crazy person. For months now people have been wanting Day of Defeat: Source and that means there's a fair possibility that they're releasing it before the Lost Coast because people seem to want DOD: Source more. And so they should... It's worth remembering that although the Lost Coast will look great, the amount of game play isn't worth getting excited about. Yes, it's been announced that it does reveal slightly more of the HL2 story, but the truth is that it will only take place across a map or two that were cut from the original Half-Life 2. Enjoy The Lost Coast, but don't get your hopes up of it being any more than two maps of gameplay.
I take it as somtime next week we should see the TLC theyll probally give us a exat release date this weekend
Lost Cost would prolly take a someone like an hour or mabey even an hour to 1 1/2 hours
