Well thanks for the input guys. Just to let you know, you have all convinced to go out and buy HL2 tomorrow. So I probably wont see daylight for like 2 months now!

That system is exactly the same as mine, except my graphics are better [9800 Pro 128MB]. I run on all medium, yes buy it, that's plenty powerful enough..

i run hl2 on a P4 1.6 GHZ, 512 ram, 9600 SE and it runs fine on my PC , i aslo turn up the model detail 2 high and the water too.......it still runs fine.......no lags
