Just read this at gamespot http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/action/halflife2episode2/news.html?sid=6154006 I knew EA sooner or later would make Valve start realesing their games onto the consoles, EA just can't have there greedy little hands on one gaming platform  . Anyways, TF2 and this Portals game sound amazing! I can't wait for them.

Although it's true that it might unnececarily take some part of the developement time for other gamesitself or push the release dates it's nothing realy bad. VALVe will earn more money and maybe will get some useful experience like the optimalisation possibilitys they found during the developement of Half-Life 2 for Xbox. Also it might force even more interesting technology as those consoles will be still 'young' and advanced. The info about Team Fortress 2 and Portals sounds realy, realy nice. Especailly the portals game with the possibilitys that device will create. Using enemy bulets against them maybe?:D

Who needs consoles when a PC can achieve just-as-good results?

Possibly because at the day of their release pc with similar config would be much more expensive and that they're more 'user friendly' = no evil installation asking you to click some confusing buttons like 'next'...:p In the end they'll get aged and uncapable of new technologys, I would never chose them myself but it seems like majority of gaming market does.:(

PCs can achieve the spec of the PS3 now, and it's not even out! It's just a matter of time before the games can utilize that power. On a lighter note, I am soon upgrading my PC to the spec of the PS3, and it will only cost £400. Mnnnn, whats that? Oh I know, the cost of the PS3! And it will last a hell of a lot longer! I do not see why everyone says that the PS3 will be the ultimate gaming machine. My point was made above, so eat that console owners!

It's nothing new realy, Half-Life with High Definition Pack was ported to Play Station by Gearbox, they also created Half-Life: Decay wich arrived on cnsoles only (hopefully). Then VALVe made a conversion of Half-Life 2 to Xbox so consoles laready have some Half-Life games on.

Let's just hope that this doesn't get in the way of Valve making it as good as possible.
