hi...if you played the game plz post here your sys specs and ingame average framerate/settings.. any other comment about performance welcome..
i havnt played the game yet but i could run doom 3 marginally good on 1.67 GHz, 512 RAM, 9800 pro video card...id be happy with 30 fps hopefully.
I didn't make it!
I am running it on an AMD Athlon XP 2600+ and 1 gig of ram w/ a 128mb 9800 Pro, I get about 50 fps average in-game, and my benchmark was 58.6 . If you have an ATI card download the Omega Drivers. ( http://www.omegadrivers.net/ ) ATI's drivers are shit. Also I just finished the game, and it is the best game I have ever played. I'm gonna go play it on Hard now. *glee* oh, if you want some juicy buts form the story, or spoilers or anything just ask. Although I seriously doubt I am the first person to beat it. :)
my game lags on high, even though the graphics look bad.. im pissed about that, doom 3 has better graphics, and runs way better
If you are going to post about how bad the graphics are, then include your specs...
I am running everything on HI with 2xAA/AF, with an average of 87 FPS. I have yet to install any drivers that are up to date. In fact, the drivers I am using now are the ones that came on the ATI CD last year! HEHE :)

runs round 50 fps.....with a few slowdowns....especially when theres more than one strider on screen....other than that....awesome....it runs better than COD!!! thats amazing
lol CoD runs perfectly on my comp, and so does doom 3, but not half life,, that is soo twisted!! 2.8 ghz 512 Mb of RAm (kingston) GeForce Fx5600 ( evryone here says its a crappy video card, but my dad thinks its amazing)
Hey, come to think of it.....What DirectX is your HL2 set to use? It should be in the video tab of options.
direct x 9
Okay, try this little trick.... Put "mat_dxlevel 81" in your console. This will force it to use the DirectX8.1 drivers instead. See if that increases your FPS. If it does, you should then be able to raise your graphic settings some.
