Petitions never did anything for anyone. They never changed a thing.
I doubt Valve will devote their time to this with much more important matters on their hands. Such as the development of lots of extra content for CS:S, the finishing touches on Lost Coast and their input into Aftermath. So I'm doubtful this will do anything.

Well I think Valve knows it, it was in some interview IIRC, and they commented it. Can't remember though. Well a very huge petition got PunkBuster anticheat to Battlefield 1942. They work sometimes..
online petitions were a big reason for bringing Family Guy back, after fox in all its grand wisdom canned it
But this matter seems a lot more trivial than cheating or the continuation of a tv series. That's why I don't think it will work.

Also at the same matter; it wouldn't be a big deal to make it though.

Err, thats not quite right is it.
I think in relation to this particular pettition you may have a point, but as for other examples, its not to hard to find oens that worked!
For example the other night, I petitioned my wife for some more gravy and she gave me double helpings! Fair enough my food was swimming in the stuff, but it worked!
Anyway, i think its more reasonable to assume that someone somewhere may at some point creat a mod or a piece of coding that improves the vehicle net code... or whatever!

Dude. Get Garry's Mod, get VMOD, get GMOW, and come back here and say that again. Not only with those do you have a whole shitload of awesome cars to drive, but you can even build your own to mess about with. I made a pretty cool APC, complete with passenger seats, out of a shipping crate and attached missiles. Most mods don't get finished anyway so I wouldn't worry about it.
