Half life 2 is truly a brilliant game but , like the original, relise heavily on scripting. This is not a bad thing and can often result in very spectacular events unfolding before you. The only trouble is when a trigger is missed, then it all becomes undone. If you play the strider mod then you immeditaly fin that while in a strider/helicopter/gunship that you miss several triggers for combine spwmning/attacking. Also on the hover boat level i hit some debris while travelling at speed and cut a corner of the canal course (only a very small bit). Later i discoved that this had messed it up somewhat as certain things did not render and other unwanted things did-

your point being.....? not trying to be nasty but is there a reason your telling us this? no offence is its possible.. its not heavily scripted, just buggy, afterall, its on loading sequences your missing.

srry if it seemed pointless, really i just wanted to show what was hidden blow thoses lovely textured ground surface- never though it would be 'reflectivity 50%. srry people if it was a shyte post

Whoa, I would've thought they'd have fixed that with a Steam update.

I guess they're too busy updating CS:S.
