Regarding the sawblades...I totally know what you mean Oompa. I wanted to see if I could cut up the zombies at different angles too. I held the blade and walked close to a wall so the blade would turn itself vertical...and I waited till a zombie turned the corner...let it fly! UTTER SHOCK and DISAPPOINTMENT sets over me!!!

Now why was I and some others disappointed? Well the fact is because until this point we've seen a good percentage of the game and I would say the affects of NPC's are quite accurate to what should happen when they get shot at certain hit locations. Then suddenly we see that and its like a slap in the face, or for some a reminder that he/she is not Gordon Freeman anymore.

With Source they've managed to make a life like environment. Ok, I would have to say everything from wooden crates to exploding barrels ...the objects looks and feels life like...perfect but...

This is a First Person Shooter right? and putting it simply...the main purpose is to kill NPC's that get in our way. Well if that is the case...wouldn't you say applying the proper animation or affect when a Zombie is cut up by the sawblade a pretty big thing to include. I mean, if this game about a man going out and wrecking a city...sure that wouldn't really matter cause now the enviroment is the main focus for the players.

All in all I still love this game and I have nothing but positive things to say...but as we know now...something that minor shouldn't be overlooked when the rest of the game have shown us nothing but great gameplay and close to life graphics. A fine line between "Superb" and "Unreal"

Exactly. I mean it doesn't effect the game alot but its something that makes it less realistic from a how it would happen in real live point of view.

I agree with that problem. I was quite dissapointed when the game only allowed us to saw zombies in half at the waist and not any other part of the body. :(

Other than that I don't have any complanit on the game.

*sigh* Yet another factor that prevents the game from being perfection.

Nothing is ever going to change. Even if those christian conservative bitch house wifes actually pass a law, making it illegal to have a certain amount of violence in commercial games. People will just start designing their own freeware with just as much violence. God I hate those women, forcing their beliefs on everyone else. I should start forcing my dick down their throats.

Ill settle 4 cut in half.since u can set them on fire ,I enjoy that makes me hav a nice wee glowin feelin inside : ) Games dont affect any1, Ive always wanted 2 go 2 work smile @ management and certain staff and Fekin KILL KILL KILL Burn, shoot ,stab,cut in2 wee small bits GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Ive ben playin games since Pong lololololololololololololol nope Im jus fine : )

yeah, it would be cool if u could cut them at any angle, but how would you texture the cut side? it would also kill your RAM with so many zombies. the reasons for all this is that practically it would have taken them another six years to program all this stuff in, and then it would have millions of bugs...

At any rate, the Source engine probably could be modified when they make Half Life 3, and who knows, maybe there will be advanced dismemberment features. I too know the part that you speak of. It was still pretty fun though :p

I just wish Raven would make SOF3 with the Source engine and a new version of their GHOUL system. As a matter of fact, I can't wait to see if Q4 has it.

unreal 3 engine is supposed to support fully dismemberable ragdolls and i dare say it will have a fair ammount of gore to accompany it.
