Like I said, just read it. Tantrums, aggression, and confusion can follow, or acceptance.

It could be they want more money, but I'm sure they have an explanation.

That sucks. I expected EP2, Portal and TF2 to be around 20 dollars like Episode One was and now it's more than twice that price. HOWEVER, I will definitely still buy it the day it comes out. And when you think about it, 50 dollars for 5 games, 3 of which are brand new, is not a bad price at all. It just seems kind of stupid that they would include Half-Life 2 and Episode One when a vast majority of people buying it already have those two games. Oh and I threw a small tantrum in my mind when I first read it, though I quickly realized that there's nothing I can do, and I'd probably pay twice that for EP2. EDIT: The Black Box was only supposed to be about 40 dollars, and now the PC Orange Box is about 50. Only a 10 dollar increase, I guess it could be worse.

Updated? Aren't they all updated now? Episode One has gone under one update. I know Half-Life 2 had many updates but when I installed mine, from the Holiday 2006 pack, I had no updates whatsoever.

Looking on the bright side, I think all versions will now contain all special features that were going to be distributed over different versions of the boxes. I hope that made sense. And you can give the other games away as a present or as give them to a Halo monster and show them a game like Half-Life. No offense.

Yeah I think they're doing big graphical updates, like adding HDR and such to Half-Life 2. I'm not too sure about EP1 though. The games will definitely be available separately on Steam at some point so I don't see this as a huge deal. AH yes, perhaps Valve is just doing this to benefit Halo people!

I was just thinking on the bright side a little.

And if they do those graphical updates, well, that's good. As long as they are free.

hmmm.... yup... but since when is valve wanting money??? they are selling enough crap on steam already.... its a real degeneration if they scrapped the black box just for the cash.... a shame indeed...

And yeah graphics could be somewhat improved.... but when will they switch to dx10 graphics??? with Half Life 3???? im hoping so... will have to upgrade my pc tough :D
