The 5500 256 is great but see if you can squeeze for a 5600 Ultra. Much better performance.

It's an ATI card perfect for tunning HL2, if you can just get your mum to budge 4 dollars! lol. I wish I had newegg in the UK :(

I own one too. 30fps in Doom 3 Holden? I get roughly 50 on High? What other components do you have?

4 agp slots? Are you sure...? Haha nah j/k mate.

If you have a 4x rather than 8x, im just wondering weather or not you can run DX9 based Graphics Cards...? Better look into that one.

My radeon 9800 pro 256mb get's an average of 50fps with everything turned on, resolution at 1600x1200, but i think it's a bit pricey for your budget, you might just be able to get the 128Mb varient though.

If you can, get the one wiggleworm posted about, it's an awesome card! Otherwise get the 128mb version like Zero said :nodding:.
