I think that valve should alow people who bought the retail version of hl2 to be able to buy and download things like hl1 source and day of defeat source as. i myself would like to play them but i wanted to have hl2 on a disk and could not wait for collectors edition

I kind of assumed they would sell DoD:s independantly when it was finished. I hope they will anyway, but I guess we can only wait and see...

imo if u own the first halflife then halflife:source should be available for free, its exactly the same game but with nice water and physics, all textures and stuff r exactly teh same

Are you saying Valve DON'T allow retail customers to buy their other games online? Weird, Steam's been offering them to me every time I log in. If they don't allow you to buy them online, then that's really, really poor business sense on their part, and they're hurting themselves far more than they're hurting us.
