Your afterthoughts on Halo 2?
This is not a rating thread, This is a thread where you state your afterthoughts about Halo 2.
Since this is my not my first game from the Bungie Games, I used to play "Marathon" "Marathon 2" and "Marathon: Infinity" Those marathon games are awfully similar to the Halo series, and i was really surprised to see Halo because when i saw the pictures before they announced the name of the game, I thought it was going to be called "Marathon 4" or something  Anyway, This is my first game from the Halo series, It is the first Xbox game i recieved and it is far one of the best games for Xbox indeed. I beat this game in one night (about 6 hours) on Normal difficulty and i am re-doing it on Heroic, Then maybe Legennary :uhoh: This game has smooth graphics and nice sounds - It sounds great on my 5.0 dobly surronded sound system, I once heard a shooting sound behind me while i was playing it and embarrassily, I looked back. I am not good at reviewing games but all i can say is that this is the best game ever since.
Halo 2 online:
This is my first Xbox Live game that i have played, I personally think that this game online is perfect and balanced... There are hardly any lags at all... Sometimes a few re-connecting but other than that, It is the most reliable online game i have ever played. 16 players is the maxium number of players online, and sometimes i wish it was more than 64 but thats too many for most of the maps... I have some wishes for Halo 2 and hopefully they will make it for the next Halo. The slayerships and capture the flags are instense and fun espectially with 16 players in a small map like Foundation. This online game is addicting, and entertaining in everyway and there is no doubt on that.
I think Halo 2 is the best game you can ever enjoy. I ever do so love kicking a poor sap out of a Ghost and running him over. It feels so satisfying. Halo 2 campaign has non-stop action, and is a blast to play with a friend on co-op. We cover each other, hop on warthogs and start blowing shit up. Most fun you can ever have. But the downside is that Halo 2 suffers from Halo 1's downfalls is that the reptitive level design. I know that you concentrate more on the action then actually focusing on the level scenery, but there needs to be more varied sections in the different level sections. I guess Bungie went with the "If it broke, don't fix it." rule.
Halo 2 Live:
Most fun you can ever have when either you don't have friends around, or you do have friends around. The different variety of gametypes bungie pumps out never gets old, and is a blast to play. Party invites are way fun too, I played Dawn of the Dead once and it was freaky and fun. I always end up as the zombie though. :p
But the downside to Live is the number if assholes online, stupid conversations, uncoopertive teammates, quitters, team killers and cheaters. It's not Bungies fault really.
But what is Bungies fault is that you start with the SMG on big maps like Coagulation, Waterworks or Headlong. I mean come on if you see a sniper YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!! Thats what makes the big maps so frustrating to play. I suggest that you start with the BR and SMG. It's like starting with the pistol and AR in halo 1! :moon:
I played several bungie games in the past like the Myth Series and Oni.
All in all on a scale to 1 to 10. I give this game a 9.5.
Halo2 is excellent, unfortunately, imo, it comes up short to its prequel in sp, but multi, can't be beat. Singleplayer isnt bad but it falls short to the original. By the way im new and i love your forums.:cya:
Welcome to the GamingForums, then! And I agree, Halo 2 pwns multiplayer, but not SP.
Halo: Combat Evolved - Awesome for one of the first games to come out for the xbox..amazing graphics...great storyline...(beat every lvl on all 4 difficulties(took about 4 months)) The system link for Halo was awesome for LAN parties... Halo 2 - First game i played online 0.0..breathtaking graphics..gamertag is Wesyrine..(go figure)..the story could of used some help i think though..the ending was horrible...and it seemed like the story left a few things out..but oh well..the multiplayer is friggin' awesome..
I didn't make it!
halo 2 trailer had this awsome locking level a city but there was nothing close to that in the game i was sort of disappointed but it is still a great game if only it was close to what every one expected
You mean the E3 2003 trailer?, yeah that level was in the game but just completely redesigned because it didn't quite fit with what they (Bungie) wanted to do with the story.
