Hello. Since Halo 2 will be coming out on vista, I decided to e-mail Bungie to tell them what we, the gamers, would like to see on Halo 2 pc, and since odds are that most of it will be the online aspects, that is the reason for the title. The goal is to make H2PC diferant than H2Xbox What I want is: Online co-op: -Support for up to 16 players (actually 4 optimaly) -The ability to custimize how you play (ie, set death to either: regular respawn when other players are not in combat, respawn at last checkpoint, or respawn imidiatly to die again, even how many times you can die) -Damage multiplier (ie, in adition to level dificulty, it gets more dificult to kill enemies as more people join, and the enemies attack strengh increases too. allowing balancing) -score for co-op (ie, killing gives you points depending on what it is you killed, dieing makes you lose points, and make the death penanty variable to what the server wants it to be) -Custom co-op maps and modes (ie, a killfest map, where you get points by killing enemies, and losing points by dieing, a defence map, where you have to keep an objective intact for a timelimit, and a progression map, esensially kinda like a campain level, but simplified to just kill every living thing you see) -LAN and internet capablilitys General online gameplay: -Include things that were left on the cutting room floor (ie, the Mongoose) -New maps -The flamethrower (I don't care about the sentinal beam, I love the smell of napalm in the morning:smokin: )

Please feel free to add on (and I wish you do, so that it is WE the gamers, not I the weird guy asking for something), but please keep it in the format I did it, so when I send this email to Bungie, all I have to do is cut-and-paste:p Oh, and for more info as to online co-op in a game, please check out http://lms.d3files.com/ as many of the things listed came from this mod for DooM 3

Personally, I don't think all those new gametypes are possible, considering the gametypes are all the same between Halo PC and Xbox, except the Classic gametypes.

I would love to see:

-Online co-op. I agree there, and the damage-multiplier system to balance more players would be a great idea.

-A couple new weapons and/or vehicles. In Halo PC, they added the Fuel Rod gun and flamethrower, and the rocket Warthog and Banshee in multiplayer. For Halo 2 PC, it'd be fun for them to add the Mongoose, though nobody really knows just how complete it was. A couple more weapons would be nice. The Fuel Rod gun should also be added to multiplayer, considering it already exists in the campaign.

-AI in multiplayer. Lots of games have benefited from the ability to include bots in multiplayer games. All the James Bond games since the glory days of Goldeneye for the N64 are prime examples. For free-for-all games, all AI should be able to be used, so humans, Covenant, and Flood. Team games should have team-based AI, like humans vs. Covenant vs. Flood, all on separate teams.

ya lol altho this is probely the wrong place but i might be making mods for Halo 2 PC becuase i want to fly the Pelican and i asked a guy since he was a E3 gamer who gets to play games that r not released yet. But anyway i would like to see: Onling CO-OP , more than 16 (atleast 25) , and a flame thrower which should be less powerful than in Halo 1 PC since i die alot throm it

I just found another thing they could add: -movement sensitivity for controlers. (so if I just nudge the analog forward, my guy goes slow instead of full run) As for 25 guys in co-op, you have lag to consider, and with the damage multiplier, the needler would be absoluty leathal to you and grunts would survive rockets:p But I guess it could be posible.

Aye, movement speed control would be nice, but why would you use a controller? You can't outdo the keyboard/mouse combo. However, a stealthy slow walk/sneak kinda thing like they have in Medal of Honor would be nice, like holding Shift to walk. I know, crouching does the same thing, but sometimes you wanna still be upright.

Actually, it would be used for machinima. I know that the the people doing Macusless will be moving to Halo 2, and having that kind of control over your "actor" would be helpful. And I am better sniping with a controler than a mouse/keyboard, but yeah, in mid-range to CQB, mouse/keyboard owns all. Plus, I found that the motion tracker doesn't register movement going under a certian speed (hardly moving actually), so I could sneek up on a pesky camper without him knowing what hit him.

You're right, the motion tracker doesn't pick up when people crouch-walk or move slowly in Halo 2. Not sure about Halo PC, though.

It doesn't in PC, if you don't go full speed crouching. In PC, you have to tap the move button to do that.

ya it would be nice altho modding Halo 2 PC would be easy depending if they dont put a code on the cd or something
