But still I think MS is relying on modders a little too much cause I doubt not THAT many people will get vista anytime soon. Most people are getting it in a year, when it's predicted that MS will solve many of vista's problems and bugs.

Indeed. Service pack X or after my exams (whichever is earlier) is when I will get it (even then only on a dual boot system with XP). They need to fix a lot of the graphics driver issues with Vista as well. Some of the games need to release patches allowing them to be compatable with it. Its still got a long way to go before it is fully usable...

Yes. You need to wait for update patches for games, if such a thing exists. What you could do to play your old games is partition the drive, and install XP as a dual booting OS. This would mean you could play all your games. Sadly on Vista, I have no idea how to do this. But you could. Or get someone you know to do it for you on an XP system. There are ways round it...

Man I bought Windows Vista, now I have to wait for more games that support it cause my older games don't seem to work. Is this because vista has little program support?

You can still play halo: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933305 I presume the patch you need is this one: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?pg=3&fid=1884 But it might not need one. I don't know...

Meh I am probably not going to get it on release date cause it's usually overpriced. Probably when it gets cheaper. But then again I don't have a lot of games to choose from for Vista :(. It seems that all games from before 2007 don't work with vista, just like how many ps3 games aren't compatible sony's online service.

The list I gave you shows all the games that work with vista. Halo is included, so it will work. (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933305)

to 343guiltymc, ive had vista ultimate since the rtm came out in november, my entire family now has licensed copies, and most of my friends do too (not all ultimate, cause that gets a little expensive) you'd be surprised how many people already hav it and how many are going to get it once they get enough cash.
