heres a good idea from this guy at bungie forums qoute' I say that all of us buying HALO 2 if we just donated One Dollar besides the $50 were giving to Microsoft we ALL should give one dollar to a charity but Just one charity to make a huge impact, It would make national news like "A surprise mass donation of 40 million dollars arrives at the MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION over night from millions of HALO 2 real life heroes".
This would be amazing and put a warm feeling in all our hearts playing hALO 2 is fun enough but knowing that we gave MILLIOns to a foundation thats helps people who are dying fullfill one last wish would PWN!. and put us one step up on Gods list. Hey maybe well get to be angels faster.
So on HALO 2 Tuesady give $1 dollar to the Make a Wish Foundation or we can all decide on a charity. Bungie can suggest one. Someone e-mail Frankie or Shishka
So I e-mailed the ESA as the charity Electronic Software Asscociation. (my email)
As you may know on Tuesday November 9th HALO 2 will launch it will be the single biggest entertainment event ever. I posted the idea of giving $1 dollar per gamer on the www.xbox.com HALo 2 forum and it met with unanimous approval among gamers. The game has well over 1.5 million pre-orders sold and many more millions to follow. At $1 dollar per gamer this could easily reach 4 million dollars with in seven days. Bungie the makers of the game and Microsoft stand to make hundreds of millions and well they should its a great game. But it would also warm all the gamers hearts and make national headlines as million of real life heroes pitch in to help. The ESA and its A Nite to Unite for Kids would definitely garner national praise and attention drawing in many more donations from others sources and prestige. In the end I do not represent either Microsoft or Bungie, I am just a simple gamer with a big heart and 1.5 million of my closest friends who are itching to do some good in life. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
And they responded.
My name is Jenny Lai and I am the Director of the Foundation and a huge Halo fan as well. My husband is the one who placed the link from our ebay auction on the forums and xbox live groups. I think you idea is truly inspired ! Let me discuss this internally to see how this might be done. Thanks much for your email and I will be in touch soon.
In the end all we need now is Microsoft/Bungie to agree I predict yes since this would be amazing PR, and garner amazing free Advertising.

Yes, he's talking about buying Halo 2. And donating money when you buy it.
sounds awesome - I'd donate, what's another dollar. If we managed to give $4 million it might help put a better face on gamers in general. Instead of violent basement dwellers we would be generous, caring people. :) :)
good idea ill do it;)

Yeah it pisses me off when the people of the Media, say Video Games are bad. How the hell do they know what's good for us? They all want us perfect people in a little utopian society. Why? (BTW: I donated 5 bucks.)
I'll gladly donate a bit of extra cash if it will help make an impact..
Hopefully alot of other people will too. That will get the media out of the Gamer's asses.
