rah66jrNo it is you who doesn’t get it. Halo was made for Mac computers until Microsoft jumped in and said, make it for Xbox and we'll make it sell. It was made for computers and then emulated on the Xbox. An Xbox is a single purpose PC you could say. It’s a computer program running in a box that only plays games. So really all Xbox games are for PC, just not compatible. So when they make the games they make them on their computers, test them on computers, and then put it on a disc compatible with the Xbox. So I guess you could say Halo & Halo 2 were made for PC but are being emulated on the Xbox. That’s what the Xbox really is, an emulator. So Halo PC is for PC and works perfectly on PC if your PC is good enough to play good games.

All games are made on PCs, no matter what platform, but they are made to be compatible with that perticular platform's operation system, what ever platform it is made for.

has anyone seen halo on the pc? the one thing you said thats right is its like an emulator which is why it runs slower on some computers but halo runs better on my computer then how it does on my xbox

HAHA! This is just ridicules! Halo does NOT run slow on some computers because its "emulated". It runs slow on some computers because the computer has a slower processor or low graphics card! An Xbox is an emulator, so anything it runs is emulated, lol. Same with any game system/computer. Halo PC was re-programmed for the PC, not an Xbox game hi-jacked for PC.

not true there are a few mac exclusive games out there and you dont seem to know the meaning of the word emulator and no it does not run slow because of a bad graphics card it runs slower because all they did was add one or two extra features and didnt even optimize it (so it runs like it was emulated) the xbox is not an emulator so any game that is ran on it isnt emulated.... an emulator is a crap copy of a game for a different system like megaman one on the nintendo for your computer the real thing on the old school nintendo is the orginal so its not emulated

420Now that I know the truth behind Halo, I'd say your opinion about Halo is only for Xbox is pretty much flawed.

Ha, whats so funny is you have no Idea what you are talking about. Halo for XBOX is the real Halo. It wasn't supposed to come out on PC but it did. My xbox halo looks so much better than the one on computer. No lag, no Fuel Rod Cannons, No Rocket Warthogs. But you people with the PC's go ahead and say there better, but you really have no IDEA what you are talking about...

One of them would be the original Halo that they were making for Mac only at first.

and you dont seem to know the meaning of the word emulator and no it does not run slow because of a bad graphics card it runs slower because all they did was add one or two extra features and didnt even optimize it (so it runs like it was emulated)

Thats just stupid. It runs just as fast on my computer as it does on my Xbox... and I don't have a super computer. Halo PC was designed for PC with a PC CD-ROM. Halo Xbox was designed for Xbox with an Xbox DVD... so don't tell me they just swapped it and emulated it. It was re-programmed entirly for the PC and Mac.

the xbox is not an emulator so any game that is ran on it isnt emulated.... an emulator is a crap copy of a game for a different system like megaman one on the nintendo for your computer the real thing on the old school nintendo is the orginal so its not emulated

I know about these emulators, I have N64 all the way back to NES... and the Halo PC is no such thing.

I am not dising the Xbox, I love Xbox. I would rather play most games on my Xbox than my PC... but I like the additions and graphics on Halo PC better than on Xbox... also better multiplayer.

I was quoting 420. Halo for the PC has an Emulator look to me. It does not run smooth. Halo for Xbox can whoop halo for the computer's ass up and down the street all day long. -lol

And if Halo one is so great on your computer, why did it come out on XBOX first? Why did halo 2 come out for XBOX first. Because the Halo for Xbox, I believe that connot be converted properly, without remaking the whole game.

It all depends on what computer you play it on man... one reason I prefer to buy Xbox games over PC is because it is automaticaly going to run right... no worrying about video cards and all. But if you have a good PC, the pamplet I am holding in my hand right now (put out by Bungi & Microsoft) says that Halo For Windows has "improved graphics"

And if Halo one is so great on your computer, why did it come out on XBOX first? Why did halo 2 come out for XBOX first. Because the Halo for Xbox, I believe that connot be converted properly, without remaking the whole game.

Thts what you don't get dude... they don't make these games using Xbox's... they make them using PC's. So after they make it on their computer they convert it over to Xbox. So after making it on the computer I am sure they didnt throw away and delete all of that data... so when they wanted to program it for PC they could have just brought it up and put it on a disc. It is true that only a select few Video/Graphics cards will run the game to perfection... so if you don't have a "mainstream" video card it may not look as good as it does on Xbox. But Halo PC has the potential to look better given your computer is right for it.
