well ive heard that it will cuz the last halo did so i dunno, hopefulli
PethegreatI would love to see it on the comp. The reason, Halo files needs content and I'm not spending $7 a month to play halo 2 online. A PC version would be awsome. You can have 2 to 4 times the resloution of the xbox, free online play, and custom maps and mods:D
The reason halo runs so well on the xbox is that the xbox is using %99 percent of its power into the game since it does not use an OS. While the PC uses about %25 with the other %75 going to windows and back ground operations.
Now if halo 2 was to have HDTV support(1080i) i may not get the PC version since iot would look so good:yum:
Yeah, they do need content. And you don't need to pay money to play online. Just get Xbox Connect. It's free, and way better than XBL. All you have to do it network your Xbox to your computer, and you'll be set.
Yes....if you dont believe so then you are an inbred. :deal:
works best on my PC >x800 pro 1 gig of ram p4 2.6 ghz :) didnt buy halo2 for xbox cuz i dont wana pay money to play it online rather wait for PC and play online for FREE!
You guys are idiots! WHO BEAT HALO 2 ON LEGENDARY AND CAUGHT THE DATE IN THE CREDITS??? That's their expected completion date of Halo 2 PC Also, Bungie's already been slammed for betraying their Mac fans TWICE (hence the name of the Halo 1 level, "Two Betrayals"), so I don't think that they're going to betray their PC fan base, and besides, Microsoft owns Bungie, and Bill Gates isn't so stoopid as to let something like Halo 2 PC not coming out, he'd make less money. Man, ppl can be n00bs. :banghead:
I don't spend enough time here

Actually, the XBox does use an OS. It's a custom built system designed specifically to run games, but with support for running DVDs and CDs. If you want to void your warranty, you can actually jack the Box and put a Linux OS on it.
However, it is true that the Xbox has more power going to gaming. That's what it was designed to do. A PC is designed (generally) to be a multitask machine, allowing you to surf the net, write up documents, work with graphics and other media, and also play games if you want (among other things). Most PCs are built to do a lot more than just play, so they only devote part of their power to Gaming. As a result, PCs have to deal with memory-hogging processor-whore OSs.
BTW, I can hardly wait till Halo 2 PC comes out. Though, I hope the date is far enough back for me to earn enough money for a decent graphics card.
Well, ignoring all this junk about whether the XBox is better and going to the original question... It's MICROSOFT. When Halo PC came out, they made millions. If Halo 2 came out for PC, they probably would make quite a bit of money. And when has Microsoft ever not made money? On the other hand, quite a few people I know have bought entire XBoxes just to play Halo 2...:lookaround:
