Well how much, do you depend on it, use it occasionally or just don't even know its there?
I use it to give me a general idea where the enemy is, but i don't depend on it, which is probably why I'm so good on maps like guardian, noobs that depend on the motion tracker just die because they don't know if the enemy is above, behind, or under them.
The one the Ban Hammer missed

Before, i really didn't know it was there (almost). Now i can't take my eyes of it. It even detects players with Camo. I also noticed the noobs on guardian like that, didn't even see me until it was too late XD. What i would do is crouch and walk to a corner out of visible and grenade radius, then wait for them to walk over and look around for me.
I pretend I'm cooler than AzH

Oh hell yes, I'm too paranoid. Too many times have I won a match by assassinating a noob who never look at the motion sensor. The sad part is, some of them actually aren't noobs. They're not great at Halo, but they're far from the worst.

I always pay attention to it, but I try not to concentrate on it. Most of the great Halo players will crouch when they are near you anyway. The thing that I rely on the most is surround sound. If you have a good stereo setup, the sounds in the game will really help you figure out where people are.
Motion Trackers rule!! Countless times I've pwn3d people because they didn't use their motion tracker. I've won games because i've stalked people right behind them (and if they were smart I would have been dead) but I use motion tracker all the time its a life saver.....
Naz you might be good because you don't depend on it, but the reason I am so successful is because I don't depend on it persay but I do use it to the best of its abilities....
The motion tracker has one flaw however which I take so much advantage over.... that is crouching (now maybe its just a common halo thing) but if you use it right people don't expect it....... Man I love the Motion Tracker
I tend to use the motion tracker quite a lot (though I don't have Xbox Live), but I don't like to rely on it. Some of my tactics mainly involve luring enemies towards me where they're on their own (works brilliantly on the Flood) and then smashing my gun into their face. The motion tracker is vital for that as I occasionally need to pop around the corner to assure them than I'm still there.
You are 100% right the motion tracker is infact "vital" even though you don't have xbox live if you ever do get it, stick with your same tactic (accept the going back around the corner to let them no you're still there) im sure you will be very successful

I rely on my motion tracker at all times. I can act under stress, and quickly when I see an enemy that isn't on my radar, but I need it more than I know.
As I was picking the skulls to turn on for one of my playthroughs, I turned on the one that got rid of the motion tracker, and I got owned. It didn't effect me at first, but then I didn't know who was where, go so confused, and grunts killed me. Embarrassment.
So online I can't go without radar, and since 1 in a million players sneak, I usually know whats coming.
That is the reason I rely on it so much....... Maybe you should too Naz
I also found it useful on the final part of The Ark (with all the Brutes) I hid behind a glass wall (which stopped any and all splash damage) and waited for a jetpack Brute to come too close. I rushed out and beat him to death and 'hid' again. Didn't fire a shot in that fight except for the Chieftain. I'm not going anywhere near that bastard.
