Ok, after long hours of this bothering me does anyone else think that the forerunners played themselves as gods a little to much? I mean guilty spark calling the chief reclaimer and other religious references. Also in the halo 3 trailor when she says "I have defied gods and demons." could she mean she defied the forerunners by destroying halo? Also I am your shield i am your sword. Simply put that means whith out Cortana chief is helpless from halo. "If he had listend to guilty spark in the first game he would have destroyed all sentinel life". Also, this is how the world ends seems to reflect a poem called holow man which goes "This is the way the world ends Not with a bang but a whimper. I think that cortana has not only been controled by gravemind but realized somthing. Their is no way to beat the flood. They have been released and now are in a war for high charity. But really their is no way to know until halo 3. This is really confusing. Gravemind+Cortana=earth:0wned:

Spec Ops. LeaderThis is really confusing.

You know what confuses me? Why do you keep making threads about things that have been thoroughly discussed in other threads?

Stop it, god damnit.

The Forerunners didn't play themselves as gods, that was all the Covenant's doings. They revere the Forerunners as gods, and their technology as holy relics.

but they only reveer them in a sense of how advanced they were. ie if there was a forerunner or two left around they'd be more than happy to rip it to shreds if they could improve their technolgy. and u need to check out the cortana letters. when she says 'this is the way the world ends', she means as opposed to 'not with a bang, but a wimper'. i think the end of the first letter goes something like

And your Elliot had it all wrong. THIS is the way the world ends.

I know, that's implying that the world will indeed go out with a bang.

You know, she could just be referencing to the fact that the Covenant have totally ravaged Earth. Maybe she's only commenting on the fact that life won't be the same on Earth after the Forerunner thing was discovered.

no. I mean they programed 343 guilty spark. Guilty spark dosent act on his own. Also i found this out, if you draw seven circles with the same radius and put them together their is a small area wich is not touched by any cirlce. Considering that each halo is 23,000 light years apart (which i heard somewhere dont remeber exactly) and that each ring is a halo then their is the ark. Now if you take them all and space them out 23,000 light years that area is also spread out. So when its all spread out the area or "ark" is not near earth. Its actually some 2000 light years away. Ill have to go double check my math, but im pretty sure thats right. Also from all the halos if the rings were to activate it would take 64 years for the blast to reach earth. But thats just if the blast went at light spead. Good thing i paid attention in math. :)

No, each fortress world's 'blast radius' is 24,000 light years, it doesn't mean that there will be a gap in the middle if they're placed right. AND THE GALAXY IS 3D

but couldnt a halo ring be beneath earth, couldnt that be what the forunner is for. if you go to lyca.com which is from one of the cortana letters, after reading them in order the ending suggests that it is telling the covenant where to dig, where to put the forunner. and if the world ends in a bang, what bigger bang would there be then destroying another ring.
