I'm looking into buying HaloPC, but since my graphics card sucks, I don't want to get it yet.

My current machine looks like this:

AthlonXP 2400+ One of the newer Via chipset boards by MSI, don't remember which one 770Mb RAM Win2k GeForce2 MX-400 32Mb Graphics card

As you can see, I have a decent machine, 'cept for the video card :uhm:. Halo Trial looks like crap :(. Just to get a decent framerate, I have to keep it on 640x480, I can't turn anything up above medium, and I don't even have support for reflections or shadows!

Anyhoo, my friend has a G4 MX-440 64Mb card that he's not gonna be using.

Question is: If I bought my friend's card, would it give me enough of a performance boost to play Halo with it looking at least as good as the XBox version?

Let me rephrase: Would my friend's card allow me to play the game at, say, 1024x768 resolution w/ most everything maxed or close to maxed?
