Hi everyone, I heard somewhere that in levels such as Halo and others where you have a warthog that you can go in the gunnery position or passenger seat and have a marine AI drive the car around the map. I was wondering if this is true and if so how to do it. Thanks -TimeLapse
It works in halo 2 but not in Halo 1. The team did not have enough time to script the AI for maries to drive vehicle, but they had to with elites. If you cab mod the elite scrpits onto the marines that would rule:D
If you mod the Elite scripts onto Marines, they will kill you, lol. But what Pethegreat said is true, AI can drive (with no apparent skill) only in Halo 2.
Thanks but that's not entirely true, I've never seen them drive a Warthog (which is what I want) but I have seen them drive a ghost in Assult(spelling) on the control room. Thanks again, -TimeLapse
Yes, but they're more of a hindrance than a help when behind the wheel (or rather, control sticks) of a Ghost. Half the time they run me over, and the other half they just waste a perfectly good Ghost that I could've used by going alone against a Wraith and getting their asses blown up.
AI for a warthog has to be able to get the gunners in a position to fire, which generally involves driving in circles around the target in Halo 2. That's quite a bit different from being able to run over opponents.
Still, I hate when the Marines drive, they stink and ghosts are better in H2.
Yeah, there's only spot I know of where a Marine drives with skill in Halo 2, in Metropolis. That one guy asks you to jump in the gun seat, he drives pretty good.

Naaa...I hate that guy, When I play CO-oP I kill him, my friend hops in the gun, I drive, and we go.
