i know this sounds silly but has anyone created a camera mod? you know, like something you hold in place of a weapon?
note: feel free to yell at me if i'm in the wrong section...
OMG and the bullet it so totally a flash and a bulb get fired out of the lens :O wow ur on to something here :P p.s just edit your post don't double post.
One word...:google:!!But I dont think there was ever a camera mod...sorry. Theres still hope...
you know... that isn't what i meant. i meant something that removed all reticules and hud...and weapon...
*please note that i try not to double post*
i'm thinking of doing some machinima, so i was wondering whether you could set up a proper camera system within the game... flycam... devcam...
they just seem so limited... isn't there some way to film with a handheld device, which would allow you to zoom and stuff...
It's possible. You could use Guerilla to design a weapon with no crosshair and no HUD master, with a mask-less zoom. Basically, you just want to make a copy of a weapon except delete the references in the weapon tag to the models, animations, and collision geometry, and add whatever zoom features you wish (anything from 2x & 8x to 130 levels beween 2x and 3x). Then, you'd make a completely blank HUD file for it, with no crosshairs or anything. You'd still need to edit the base HUD files (cyborg.unit_hud_interface) to not show health and shield meters, or the motion tracker. It sounds like a lot, but it's really not that hard; you can then use any screen capture program (such as Fraps) to record whatever you want for editing.
thankies! that actually makes sense, unlike some of the explanations of stuff that i've heard...
I saw one for Halo Trial once. I'll get back to you if I can find it.

Look in the other thread on this page about bitterbanana. Download his Yelo battery tweak for Halo. With that, you can turn off the HUD, and you can move the weapon around so that you can't see it in front of you. That should effectively clear your screen, and it's a lot simpler.
